Another year another car... its just how i roll!

considering how cheap you can pick up a used exhaust a custom will cost a bomb, but if you want something really specific in look and sound then maybe a custom is your best bet. I love the racelands... most comfortable coilovers i have had to date. softer then BC's... and they go soft lol. only downside is there not damp adjustable, although you could pre load the springs a bit if you wanted it stiffer. I would defiantly pick either the racelands or Rockkor's for a daily drive that you want low (same make different name) -
nah its got a good stance for a ep91, starlets arnt meant to go low so thats a good compromise

Update Sourced a TopSpeed exhaust for free , well it cost me a full tank of fuel and a road trip to Bristol to meet up with mx5 forum member Dave Mitchall and his supercharged mx5 but was good to give the old girl a good running Expecting Bristolians to all sounds like farmers i was slightly disappointed when i found they didnt lol! Swapped exhausts, had a spin in Daves supercharged MX5 (which was awesome!) then set off on my way again. exhaust sounds eeeeepic! not to Ott but defiantly a bit of an animal. Next up is to order a silenced decat from mx5parts when they come back in stock n -
cut the springs!
-
looks fucking horrendous! my eyes actually hurt
-
if it builds up over a period of the car idling then it could be valve stem seals. turbo will blow blue smoke on hard acceleration if the seals are on the way out
-
looks awesome, i miss my sti8 soooo much! defiantly need a imported 2.0L hawk eye in my life one day. not a fan of the 2.5 but still an awesome car! props to you man
-
wheels look awesome, but defo cant run those stickers with your current hight. tbh if i went to a meet and saw them on a car that height i would laugh. need more lows or take the stickers off. other then that its looking sweet, wheels are a good match for the silver.
-
depends how low you go, if your going past like 30 odd mm then you need the arches rolled... soon as there rolled you wont have any problems. all i rub on is my arch lining, so might take that out lol. Grid V's + slammed MX5= Major Win! bronze and silver would look right mean!

there proper ridiculous compared to anything else i have owned, think i spent 1k on the Subaru and all i got was a turbo and remap. probably spent 1k or a bit under on my mk1 now and have transformed the whole car for the money its just hard not being tempted to buy stuff when its so cheap.
-
there not the quickest car out there...although i went in a supercharged mk1 and it was ridiculous! but are super nippy and handle amazingly. hundreds of cheaps mods out there dude, enjoy mx ownership

Found a Arc roll bar for a good price and decided it would match my bling wheels so had to have it. Fitted it today (kinda) need to drill out holes for the spreader plate and bolt them in but this pic gives you an idea . found another blanking switch after i destroyed mine with a drill , so made a quick new location for my lazy eye switch to sit thats all for now -
love it! I look forward to hearing about your slam plans lol
-
its also anti lag, no car should pop and bang like that unless running on a anti lag system. most have it mapped in in a switch to turn on and off. my scoob had a very mild version mapped when i fitted the Td05 18G. I mean you do get pops and bags just via a rich map but with a burble with bangs all the way down on de acceleration like that its defo anti lag
-
you not worried about excess weight from the cage? i know its lightweight material but surely its going to weigh a bit when completely fabricated together?
-
will be mag feature material when complete mate! I would be sending some snaps off to jap performance, banzai etc
-
21 point cage.... just to be safe . epic!
-
as above if it needs adjusting you just under the top nut and wind the bottom nut in. but the ep91 ecu's run so rich i doubt it will need adjusting. i ran basically standard fuel pressure on a hybrid on the stock ecu at 0.8bar there that rich lol
