yeah i have the same problem with my racelands... only way round it is to remove the helper springs as you will gain all the space on the thread that they took up, meaning you can keep the locking collars above the drive shafts but you have gained another 2 inches or so. but its not a bad height lol, when you space out the wheels you might catch the arches and find they need rolling (dependant on width of spacers). Got some awesome updates on the way for mine ;)

change it back or pay out for a new engine, no way will your rings last with fuelling at 18:1. turning the boost down, or retarding the timing might help keep your engine alive aswell. first thing i would honestly do is turn down the boost to stock safe levels though
-
Every car is different and so are the ECU's.... my stock ecu fuelled my hybrid just fine but i had the other modifications to back it up. Not sure what the guy at the RR did to change the fuel curve with just a RRFPR but he really muffed it up lol, was 100% better first time round... all be it very very rich. You'v got a wicked car but imo your trying to run before you can walk, get all the bits you need to run higher boost then think about upping it.

cant really tell from the graph but from what i can see regarding your AFR's its going to 18:1 at 3000rpm... that's actually mental lean!! you start at a reasonable AFR for idle but go silly lean, then it goes pretty smooth to redline, Contact the RR and speak to them about that bud. Misfire will probs be leads if there old or other usual spark related things, cant see anything abnormal on the graph around 6k

Need more Lowws !
-
Like i text you man, mega jealous! and your still bloody younger then me!! madness Least i get a ride in it woooop!
-
This is about as good a fuelling map you will get from just a RRFPR AFR is on the right: Idle around 14-15:1 Cruise around 12-13:1, 12 being on the fairly rich side Boost 10-11:1, 10 imo being a tad rich for these small engines ^^^ above is a very rough guide, its alot more complicated then this. you must consider if any knock if being produced, if there is enough fuel to prevent, if not possible retard the timing etc The gauge isn't supposed to be run into the cabin, gauges ideally shouldn't be plumbed in past setting up the levels... but people do anyway.

i'd be super careful with that mani, obviously cant tell you what to do but if it where me i wouldn't be going anywhere near 1bar with the stock mani on. its not the boost that will cause the problem but the heat build up created through that runner, the build up of excess pressure and heat compared to the other chambers will completely foob the rings. just a heads up man, would hate for you to have a rebuild on your hands over the sake of a mani and a couple 100 quid.
-
dude you really running upto 1.1 bar through the stock mani?!? have you had it ported or actually boosting with the restrictive 3rd runner?
-
really funky shit grey colour mx5's are clearly the best! ... all your mariner boys clearly jel! looks good though mate, what you thinking suspension wise? coilovers for a sorted shock and spring combo?
-
perhaps something small from the garret range like a gt25 but its really not worth it considering what is out there now. plus on a well mapped td04 i doubt you would notice much difference in lag characteristics. or in simple terms if your not considering hybirds.... no lol.
-
...just a slightly different more sexy black
-
I would just stay black... i had mine done but in a slightly more metallic black so had more flake in it. made a world of difference and when the light hit the paint work it looked glorious! nothing wrong either with a different colour bay lol. my mx5 is grey with a red bay! doesn't go at all but could be worse
-
sounds to me like you just got close but let of just in time to not hit the ECU's fuel cut off. I used to be able to boost on a cold night right upto fuel cut level, i could see my engine management light come on but i had set up my boost controller well enough to drop boost pressure so not to hit fuel cut and bring it down to a safe level again. As Joz said mate, will just be a combination of cold night and short intake creating an unstable rapid build of pressure most likely leading to a spike in boost. it might also be good to relocate your ebc's vac source as if you had peaked at around
-
vf35's are tough as old boots! bin the dump valve, vf series flutter like a dream ;) Good result there though mate, will absolutely fly when its properly mapped and had the boost cranked up! might also be able to bring the boost in earlier with some better timing adjustments

plans sound good... wheels arnt my cup of tea but once spaced out and slammed i think they will look right at home dam good price on the wheels to, will tide you over for a good while!
-
happy day of birth dude!

might need 5-10mm spacer to clear the callipers, with the spacers you would end up with an offset of ET28 or ET33 dependant on size of spacer. simply put 15x7 ET38 are safe, will fit in the arches but have not poke or stance at all. (less then your current ones) 15x7 ET25, much better stance and poke but if you need spacers your offset will get low and arch rubbing will become and issue i think. 15x8 ET25, much better grip due to the wider wheel, will look awesome and fill the arches but most likely will cause scrubbing issue with arches

only problem is you'l get hit with loads of ebay fee's... unless you find a free listing weekend. try: http://www.musicmagpie.co.uk/?gclid=CInQ1f...CFcoa4QodTxx2Bg they will give you £10 for most top title, and send you a box to deliver back to them. no fee's just money in your pocket

yo josh, just had a quick double look and yeah yours is a mk2.5. they where introduced in 2001 as a facelift to the mk2... i'm actually tossing around with the idea of chopping my mk1 in for a mk2.5 . the optional extra splitter is pretty hard to get a hold of but does look siiick! I might go this route: maybe this: http://seanphotography.tumblr.com/post/405.../sphoto-x-hfvii yours would look sweet with the splitter if you find one lol
-
its a shame but you cant have one car for life, onwards and upwards. glad the V is in good hands and hopefully it can get finished and turned in a right beast of a car!!
-
looks like a top speed exhaust to me, same as mine.... do you find it hangs quite low and scraps on everything? you look slightly lower then me and it seems to catch on evvvverything! right pain in the arse! (one of these) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mazda-89-97-Miata-MX...=item2c5b80978f Looks sweet though dude! wouldn't call a glanza a particularly baby friendly car ... buy hey its got to be more practical then a mx5! haha

sorted then dude . just make sure it has a silencer mid section as these engines rasp like a mofo with a straight through exhaust! Can sound amazing! but i'm getting a bit old to draw that much attention to myself lol, hence trying to source a silenced decat to help noise levels.
