for money i would just got emanage blue would do the job fine, there are no 'plug and play' ecu's for the n/a to my knowlage. yep you can put the trd headgasket on with no other mods, it's just a headgasket so doesnt effect anything...well apart from compression slightly but it effects it for the better. also there would be no point geting uprated pullys unless there adjustable... as if your modding an n/a cams is a definate at some point and it would make life easyier.

they ran 133 from standard 12years ago buddy, the likelyness of them running that now is very low... people have managed 170yes but usualy have a mani, decat aswell as basic breathing. and if they didnt have an uprated mani there cars are no longer running 170 as they blew there engine running to much boost. you could proberly get 150/160bhp out with the motec around 1bar but i can garantee your engine wont last more then 6months. i'm just warning you mate, as it sounds like you have put alot of money into the conversion. by all means get it all mapped up but just run it low around stock 0
-
yeah you would notice a pick up in acceleration, but equaly a there would be a decrese in acceleration speed once off throttle. ther nice but only with other mods which would compliment it realy. i have lightweight flywheel and it's not bad but then i have a turbo... on an n/a your money would be much better spent else were and uprated pulleys and flywheel arnt cheap... plus you might as well uprate the clutch while doing it all. that money you could use towards something much more cost effective (cams, ecu+remap) thats my advice anyway

BUTT horn ftw! haha
-
130/140bhp at a guess they wont make much till you atleast get stage 1 mods on... why are you going to the effort and expense of getting a motec system mapped on a stock v? thats pretty usless to be honest also power depends what boost you run... but if your stock apart from an exhaust i wouldnt exceed 0.8bar due to the crappy restrictive manifold, anymore boost and you will be putting alot of pressure/heat into cylinder three and end up with a fucked piston/rod.

if i were you i would talk to ricky@racetech off here, he does some mint manifolds! after seeing his work dont think i would go anywere else
-
have asked nick, or ricky if they can map dastek? ricky seems to be able to map a wide range of ecu's so might have some software to map one up... even though he may not be a dealer if that makes sence. keep looking and if you cant find any good people to map the dastek my advice would be wait save some money and go emb and get that mapped.
-
they all sound like complete nuggets to be fair haha!, there are good people out there... have you spoke to ricky@ racetech? he must be kinda close see what he can do for you... also you got people like nick jones at tuning developments, he can map the shit out of a emb! these are the people you need to be looking up it's werth the travel for something so important

good second hand ones pop up all the time in the sales section, just keep an eye out. keep an eye on tgtt.com aswell. you should be able to pick up a blitz for about £60-80 used on here
-
i thought it might have been that lol... terible bovs haha!, not your fault but it seems all the people new to glanzas/gt's go for them. just be aware it might leak and possible look to spend on a slightly better variation in the future. i.e. blitz, hks, sard etc. and on the rubber nipple bit, without seeing whats missing i wouldnt be able to help, get some pics up when you get it... i'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction
-
what bov have you bought?
-
it's pretty simple buddy, you pull off the old one and slap on the new one lol have a look at my pic below... you will take off the original reserc, put you new bov onto the existing pipe, then you see the little silver thing that is blocking up were the original bov was?? you can just block that off with a 50p (cant remeber if thats to big, but you get the idea) by just glueing it in there. you use the same vac lines that went into the original bov, and the black breather pipe that comes out of the rocker cover... you can either leave that as it is, or buy a small breather filter and put

that doesnt realy help him out lol, chris buddy ring up rarerims.co.uk (01363 777007) they specilise in rota rims, they will supply you a set of locking nuts for a very good price... stock ones as you found will not fit and if want to keep those wheels on your car i would get locking wheel nuts or you might go out one morning and find them gone and all your money down the drain. for the sake of £20-30 i know what i would do

should this have not closed a while ago now?... bring on the voting

ahh the engine is indeed a pain... anything major and you just drop the engine out as it makes life so much easyier.
-
Ah totaly mate, in a jap import or any high performance/modified car it will run much better and more efficient... it's just those that think it makes a difference in a small litered n/a that need to think about the money there wasting, doesnt bother me it's not my car or my money so those can do as they please.
-
dude, you on imoc?? as easty-5 or something like that, as i have only ever seen that username in two places and i know your on tgtt lol. yeah man i just bought one a couple of months ago, and it is the shiz!! didnt think i would like it as much as i did but it is sooo nice. obviously with anything the more you spend the better you will get and i spent quite alot but got a mint example topped up to the brim with neat parts and over 300bhp quick common problem in the alternator, there are varius other little things but like a glanza/gt if kept clean, serviced and looked after they will run
-

good stuff, you let them know that mate
-
it might feel smoother and i wasn't saying it didnt make the car feel different but power wise it aint gunna do shit, well it might but once you take out transmission loss, rolling road resistance you left with nothing. i have driven many an n/a (not a starlet) with super unleaded and normal unleaded and cant say i noticed anything. everyone has there opinions but in mine unless the car is ment to run on super it doesnt make a difference.
-
A glanza or gt will be much happier running on 99ron as it's what it is suposed to run... but with an n/a you wont notice bugger all and if you do it's all in your head!
-
thats not that good , mine was around £900 when i was 19 with1yrs ncb now that is good i think an email should be sent out to all new member with a short list of insurers. as thread comes up at least 2/3times a month... and no one ends up bothering to answer, becouse if they done a super quick search they would come up with about a million results!
-
you say you havnt got the money but what happens when your shocks burst or start leaking? you would need new ones anyway... do it right and save yourself having to go through taking the suspension off twice.
-
isnt there something along the lines of de charging?? like if you put them on the wrong terminals, mess it up etc it can alter the possitive/negative flow... so you might have killed the possitive terminal so it's almost like having negative and negative.... could be well off with this and not sure were i herd it from lmao!! but also yeah double check the fuses, they may look ok but could still have one thats gone.

i'm just posting this so i can look at mine Edit: ahh my donation must have run out... i iz a bread bin nowz lol
