not bad realy, my tong made 170 at the same boost pressure, so it shows even running on the rich side it has alot of potential... it's not even near it's efficiency zone realy. that dip in the graph in the timming, you get a spike as the burn is a bit late. i found that advancing the timming almost cleared that as nearly every graph i have seen with an unmapped hybrid have all the same trates, and that dip appears alot, but you can get rid of it. good result non the less, will be a beast a 1.2bar!
-
i'm not 100% sure if it's a direct fit, but you just get a load of lag with little gains unless running like 1bar+ under 1bar and it will just be a load of lag and no power gains, so would just be a waste of time.

looks sweeeet! nice that you had the confidence to go all out and be really different. dose suit your car loads, and as Enzo said get out there and take some proper nice urban shots... it will look mint in them!

Just Picked Up Some Half Leather Mr2 Seats Well Cheap
Glanza_cl replied to lukEp's topic in Interior & ICE
these are some of the nicest seats to drive in! i didnt think stock seats could be so good, but there based around recaro's to have loads of adjustability. get some pics up when you actualy get your V and get them fitted -
I love garrette tubby's and will be getting a GT28 on my mr2... i think there very underestimated turbo's with options like being able to use a full 360 thrust bearing, spooling is going to be silly low. yes they are more expensive then others but in my opinion yeld greater options and results over other turbos's like td04/05/06. apart from Daves new neat bearing td05 which is genius! in my opinion that is now the best option for a glanza/ep82

yeah the r2d2 is a nice bov, personally i dont think there's much between the top brands just which sounds you prefer realy.
-
any variant of baileys are shite, dont worry about this single/double stuff just get a good branded bov like Blitz, HKS, Sard. single or double will work just alike on your car so i wouldnt worry bout which you get... hks, blitz ect a far i as i know are just single piston bovs.

has it used any coolant or oil? if not i doubt it's the head gasket... that engine was bombproof just me lol should be a reasonably simple fix just a matter or ticking off one solution at a time: first the plugs.. nice new iridium's heat grade 7 will be suffice if no luck try some different HT leads (can just nick the ones off your mates V) the rota and dizzy are new so no worries there. next if no luck get a compression test done, that will quickly tell you if the headgaket is blowing. also try a diagnostic test: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....p;hl=diagnostic

pm replied mate, so is it using coolant? if there is no power and it idles like crap it would suggest it's running on 2/3 cylinders... has it been out in the rain alot recently? i did mention the plugs needed a change perhaps try changing to some nice new plugs, make sure there is no water in the spark splug tube bit and see what happens.

ah it mentions k1-200v turbine... so the high flow ct9 must be running one of blitz's turbine wheels making it it's hybrid variation or it's just running a blitz k1 which would make more sence some crazy shiz those japs and some of the parts going in to those engines are mint! wish i had such a spec'd glanza edit: Also done some digging and according to the Aus site Toby (toytuning) ran a blitz k1 and made '202@ wheels with the pfc f-con, all at 1.3 bar' so with a bit of a push and the 5e, high lift cams etc 250bhp i think is toatly achievable

it's proberly just that the graph wasnt properly configered, i had a similar thing when i was up at a dyno, the guy just re-configred the graph and it was all fine... but i would double check and possibly go down to get a power run just to make sure the bhp number are 100%
-
but micky you had an amazing PFC doing all the work I made just under 170bhp on the Tong hybrid at 11/12psi (without management) so i would put a guess at around 170-180bhp tops.
-
just make sure it's not illegal... i'm sure there's some British road law that all imports or french (as they have yellow too) need to be changed to British regulation lights?
-
nice boxers! lmao! ahh nah it's looking sweet. running such a nice forged engine i would want to run a garrett gt28 opposed to any k series turbo although k24's work well on a 4e
-
ah thats good news mate! bet you cant wait now to get it all ran in and up the boost with a good map
-
looking sweet dude!, look forward to some rr graphs bet it shifts something silly, is it mapped at a bar? or is mapping still to happen properly?
-
haha i think your all dreaming lmao! if there is any increse of any kind it will be possible 2/3bhp... take into account transmition loss and rolling road resistance and how is that ever going to be noticable? as riko stated... it gives you the opurtunity to run more power safely. plus those with turbo's thinking it makes a difference, in japan they run 100ron fuel we only have 99 so if anything we have a loss get it on a rolling road running ultimate then tweak the timming slightly advanced keeping an eye on det, and with that you might then notice a difference
-
silly question but are all the turbo studs done up tight? is there any noise when you drive and try and come onto boost? no whooshing sounds? any noises at all... apart from the rattle you stated?
-
do any of the three green lights on the dash light up?
-
you would still get boost mate, just alot of smoke with it. has to be something to do with a lack of pressure... something to do with the external wastgate possible
-
get proof of the engine rebuild as stated 3k for a forged V... i would be all over it, check everything mate!
-
shame they didnt race (evo vs JAM) sounds like the jam glanza had troubles with the brake cylinder master?? and from the look of the brake pedel he almost had no brakes lol! either way that jam glanza is pretty mental, i'm sure the hybrid turbo has been worked almost to the max of the ct9 housing. so quite a big comp blade and perhaps a 360 trust bearing? i'm sure you know marks glanza (www.glanza.co.uk) well he sold it onto my mate, and that seems to have quite alot of jam items and hks so can only imagine that the person who built the car in japan had influence from the jam beast. he has
-
no probs mate, glad you got it all working
-
get a boost gauge see what it's boosting first, then thats one tick on the list... next if the boost is fine move into ht leads, plugs, dizzy cap etc. one step at a time
-
edit: ok i'm a spaz and cant get it to work lol will try and get mine up lata
