i looked through most of them and there all pretty dam neat but i think this is one of my favorites only 300ps but the pick up is just insane and sounds mint! seems alot quicker then some of the others on there.
-

one word... Yum -
i wish people knew more about these cars before they dived in head first... some of the comments just dont help. if you heppen to be close to 12.5psi or 'fuel cut' dont just get a fcd just incase it creeps. just turn the boost down! the weather is alot colder now and as mentioned due to the denser air it is more common to be highting 'fuel cut' around this time. Vpower has given a good link to a manual boost controler or a 'dawes device', for those hitting fuel cut get that for the time being and turn down the boost! until you can afford proper managment.
-
if you cant afford to maintain the car perhaps you shouldnt have a turbo car?? plus the car will only fuel cut if you rag it silly emb= emanage blue ebc= electronic boost controler an ajustable actuator should tide you over... they cost about £80-90 quid. porting the wastgegate depends on the company, you can do it yourself but i would guess you dont have a great knowlage with turbo's you should be ok with an adjustable actuator or the time being perhaps checkout some of the build threads in the build sections, everyone has done similar things to adapt to fuel cut.
-
best off asking Geo... but i recon around 1.4bar plus possible, i think a good 220-30bhp is possible on a nice forged beast
-
well obviously your going to need some engine managment... an emanage ultimate would be good there capable of 200+ so on unforged internals you dont want to push more then 1.2bar. and if your getting such an uprated turbo you should allready have all the compensating mods e.g. full exhaust, decat, fmic, boost controler etc etc.
-
an egg and bacon sandwich, relentless, prawn cocktail crisps and a galaxy for luch you didnt mention whether is was car related or not lol... but no i didnt buy anything car related today
-
ah no yeah totally an emb would be best but if money isnt readily available... an actuator and ebc doesn't hurt plus you need them in the long run, so thats why that would be my first recommendation, plus it gets you around fuel cut. I didnt need managment to make the power of some running fcd's at a bar
-
with basic mods there's no point going all out with an emb... actuator and ebc, jobs a good'n
-
simple solution like ste and the others have said... get an actuator and set the boost more precisely( an ebc would help alot!) . all the guy wants it to get rid of fuel cut... well stop hitting it anyway, and as i have proved you dont have to spend money on fcd/ emb's to get around fuel cut and still make a nice power figure. my advice for a start would be actuator as stated as the oem one is pants... then a electronic boost controller and yeah a ported wastgae would help loads, that wouldnt cost to much, would solve the fuel cut issue and would make a reasonable power figure yes fuel cut

mate this is looking immence... such a difference to what it once was! as you have proberly herd a billion times... cant wait till it's complete! haha. keep up the good work buddy

very good kit there from Dave, yes it will need mapping how would you run it unmapped? perhaps do some research first. i'm sure you want power (most people do) but have you thought about what stress that will put on your un forged engine (i'm assuming it's unforged)... you need all the mods to support that turbo kit aswell remember. so you will need: Full exhaust atleast 2.5inch Decat fmic relocated air filter off front of turbo boost contrer engine managment (emanage blue at at minimum, an ultimate would be better though) that at a minimum and you will be able to run that turbo kit... but d

nice result! that boost curve is soo staright! what boost controler you using again Bill? the torque seems a tad low though? my gt spec made just under 140ftlb at 0.7bar. well nice to see it all mapped up though... you must have one of the nicest on the site (and in my opinion there arnt many on this site that realy stand out). nice one

mani wise i would talk to ricky@racetech on here. he can fab up pretty much anything! dave at tm developments does some neat stuff but unfortunatly with engine transplants espicialy in a yaris space is tight! so custom might be your only way forward. dont forge do a front mount for the vitz? surely that could be made to fit the 4efte? turbo wise if it were me i would either just stick with the ct9 or upgrade to a hybrid... the yaris is soo light you dont need much power. Enzo (tong turbo) on here has just developed a new hybrid which should see 250hp. that in a yaris would be insane! a norma

sorry, didnt mean to come across like 'do this! dont do this!' haha, just i spent alot of money in the past on silly things i could have not bothered and saved a mint! if your realy serius about modding the n/a, my list would be: decat/ full system around 1.5-195inch perhaps full cold air feed uprated inlet mani, perhaps throttle bodie to ported head high lift cams ecu i think that would nudge 100bhp
-
i wouldnt bother... you might gain possible 5-6bhp and that wouldnt be noticable anyway. as Gary said Enzo's build is going to be pretty insane for an SR and parts will be released through him that never existed for the n/a's... totaly worth the wait in my opinion
