Had the V for a year now (not long i know). well i haven't had a sprint against him yet as i know i would get beat lol (my car needs mapping) if i keep it i would need a new clutch and get it mapped, but if i decide to sell i would take the hybrid off put a ct9 back on and sell it with that.

my mate just got a ek9 and there lovely cars, i kinda want something a bit more modern, just the feel of the glanza interior is a bit bland. i'm not really worried about running costs for a bigger car e.g. evo etc but i feel that the money i'm putting into this is a lost cause.

I'v had so many problems with my car it's unreal and spent so much money getting it to run mint again! i'm just fed up realy... i'v done the whole mod your car silly, rein your hands and brake the bank and think it's time to move onto something new. what do people think? Sell the V?
-
no thats what i run (mild steal mani and stainless decat) check my build thread (click link below) if you want info on the make and what they look like etc

HDI do a nice cheap ebc (around £115 new), but the better ones like blitz, hks etc have alot more adjustability there around £150 plus used. it wont bring the spool time down loads but the advanced pressure control you get with a digital solenoid can bring it down mayb 100revs so from 3k down to 2.9 mayb 2.8k if it's a really nice one like the really expensive greddy ones with alot of gain and boost pressure setting.
-
most would say mild steal, i run a mild steal mani and it's very good but if you get a high quality well built stainless it will be just as good if not slightly better.
-
if there's one thing you spend alot of money on it's a good manifold... you can get a cheap one like the autobahn but it will crack guaranteed then you will have to re weld it or buy another. look at Dane's manifolds at SPS or Zisco both on here they sell great manifolds. both also do decats Dane at SPS was doing a deal for a decat at only £99 which is an absolute bargain for the quality i run one and have never had any problems with it.
-
yeah it's just you getting very close to fuel cut, aslong as your not hitting it you should be ok but you could turn it down slightly just to make sure you dont hit it. next mods will be manifold, decat, ebc
-
what power you aiming for? if it's just the hybrid and say 200bhp then an exedy organic, cap paddle, or black diamond... these all support 200bhp and the same in torque.
-
wow that has changed a bit lol, looks mean as! would be cool to see an updated thread with more pics.
-
who's v is this its look immense! full matt black jam kit looks lush!
-
cant say i'm a fan of the orange wheels but hay it something different, pics look good
-
get a shit hot ebc and i recon you could bring down the spool time making an even quicker V , plus a more stable boost curve
-
ah lol i see what you mean. just to add to the thread and keep it on topic, i run the Gt spec hybrid on my glanza nd it's a lovely turbo, mines quite lagy compared to the ct9 but that is to be expected from the bigger comp wheel
-
that makes no sense lol, a hybrid is a hybrid. there isnt a different make of hybrid for the two.
-
might be the release bearing...did you fit a new one with the clutch, this could be going making the whining noise
-
so your running a bar? i'm running the g spec hybrid on standard internals, ideally you want an emanage blue to run around 1bar to 1.2 as fueling adjustments will be needed but you can run 1bar with a rrfpr and fcd reasonably safely you could get an Apexi SAFC and try running 1.2bar with that to make adjustments to fueling.

What Filter To Fit Tong Hybrid Out Let 60mm
Glanza_cl replied to 200sx-Starlet-Jay's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
i'd go k&n realy good filter, also green cotton filter are good -
yes thats fine, you can run it just under fuel cut which is around 0.85 (dependant on the car) but you got to take into consideration boost creep when the weather is cold, if you can adjust the actuator to 0.8 and not hit fuel cut then that will be fine but dont be suprised if you hit fuel cut on a cold night.
-
yeah was thinking the exact same just a simple k&n unless i can pick up a blitz or something along the lines cheap.
-
ah no sorry to hear that mate, but saying that mine as lasted about 6months with the TT filter and relocation but mine has now split to around the neck...there so floppy and unsupported it's a really bad design floor, now i need to get a new filter
-
lol nah there all sorted now (finaly)... now get those bits sorted and get some pics up!
-
I saw the thread opened it all up thinking finally he has updated it! lol god dam it lol look forward to the update, lets hope it all has gone smoother then mine has lol
