nice! you need to update your sig now with this sexy beast. looks so much nicer with the 98 front and lip
-
personally if you have the whole front of the car black it will just look like you had a crash and all you could find was parts of a black V to replace them. like two different cars slapped together at least paint the potential splitter silver to brake it up abit.

get a HKS actuator and lower the boost slightly
-
quick update.... 1)wheels spacers fitted 2)Sard RRFPR fitted 3) HKS EVC6 fitted and boosting nicely at 11psi (0.8bar) 4) passed it's MOT :surrender: although it was just my luck that my cv split on the way there lmao! there was grease all over my wheel . not a hard job to fix so i'm not bothered still passed! the evc was an absolute nightmare! i didn't have the manual so spent a whole day trawling the Internet to find one then once i found it i had to try and figure out how the dam thing worked lol... managed to reset the ebc and re program it with the new boost, gain, Coefficient setting
-
possible there is no definite answer as all cars vary but it's a high possibility
-
wow just when i think oh dam a tdo4 you go and get a forged engine! quiet and sneaky power increase ftw! lol
-
that just getting close to fuel cut mate, just get an adjustable actuator like the HKS one and lower the boost slightly. also if you havant allready got a boost gauge, get one to set up the boost level. here's a link to an actuator: http://www.sumopower.com/product.php/140/9...ed_actuator_kit

Rarerims.co.uk good site and loads of sweet wheels!
-
if you need any inspiration check out my build thread as mine is black two so might give you an idea of what looks good, or you might think mine looks awful lmao! but either way it might help.
-
ahh reminds me on mine when i first got it. they look so innocent standard lol looks nice and mint, nice standard V you have there
-
a FCD is a fuel cut defender. the starlet have a stock 'fuel cut level' so the cars cannot over boost and damage the engine. fuel cut on the glanza is around 0.85bar he has used a FCD to bypass the factory fuel cut and is boosting 1bar. now the standard ecu is only capable of reading and setting up fuel for the engine up to the factory level of 0.85bar and he is boosting 1bar so the car is most likely running silly lean and will eventually bend a rod or melt a piston (meaning new engine time ) my advice would be stay away from cars with FCD's unless they have been set up properly on a R
-
ah yeah saw that up the other day, looks realy nice but my biggest concern is it's running 1bar on stock mani, and fueling by the sound of it which is realy not good and the engine could pop at any moment. if you are interested and go look at it, ask how long he has had the FCD fitted and whether the fueling has been set at a RR if he says the fueling hasnt been set stay well clear... or if he has only just fitted it and you buy the car take it straight off. it's nice but 1bar with no fueling mods= bad times!

Hiya mate welcome to the club, if there's a link to a website with the glanza you like on post it up as we might be able to give you a few pointers
-
link doesnt work. you may as well uprate the clutch if your gunna change it so yeah around 300-400depending on the clutch, but if it's popping out of 5th it could well be the synchros
-
bloody hell, I'm surprised that could boost for shit! lol mine only had a very tiny hairline crack when i took it off so I'm no contender lol
-
i take it you mean for a glanza? kouki is the later model ep91 (98 face lift) oem is just a term meaning Original Equipment Manufacturer so from the factory in other words. get some from your local Toyota mate as there plastic lenses so second ones tend to be a bit misty.
-
will either be a dying clutch (which isnt so bad) or it could be the synchros in the gearbox (which is bad) if it's the synchros you will need to get new ones put in or find a new gearbox.

how do you vote? there's no poll bit.

Happy Birthday Dudette!

yeah it would be really cool to see a before and after showing the positive or potential negative aspects of cutting back the blades slightly, and seeing how it effects the bhp/torque levels and spool time
-
yeah how i put it didn't come across amazing did it lol, i wasn't sure if enzo's gt spec turbo actually has cut back exhaust blades or not but the bigger comp wheel used would give a similar effect to having cut back blades... that's what i was trying to get at lol
-
the Tong turbo runs with a different compressor wheel with what can be compared as cut back blades with a stock ct9, and the difference is very noticeable power will retain upto red line and not slowly die off. the gains are found on bigger turbo's, small turbo's like the ct9 it's pointless as it's cheaper and less hassle to just bore the housing and fit a different comp wheel.
-
^^^ Indeed, i put a hybrid on with only fairly basic stage one mods and found the car to quite undriveable compared to the standard ct9, the car wasn't as responsive as the turbo wasnt running in it's efficiency zone and with the enlarged inlet on the turbo the air flow was alot greater meaning on some cars it can make them run lean. I am still running the hybrid on stock internals on the stock ecu, but i have had to uprate to a Sard regulator and proper HKS evc6 ebc to control the boost and the fueling, (still under fuel cut) it will be fine but definitely watch the cars afr's when running

x2 proper mint car and running silly quick at 191bhp. Bargain for what you get.
