I know im a bit late, but I actually had an amazing weekend. I can too understand that the people who came down for a day or so didn't exactly have the time of their lives, but my weekend wasn't far from it. Met many amazing people that I'm already looking forward to seeing again. I agree on the floodlights situation, as Rick wasn't actually joking when he said that I couldn't hear a fucking thing after it gets dark. All chip in? Plenty of time to save. Thanks to you all for a great time, already looking forward to JAE '09.

Went to get my beers for the weekend, third time my Starlet has ever been in a supermarket car park, parked it well away from anyone else and took a longer walk.. Came back 10-15 minutes later and some twat has somehow managed to hit a trolley in to my door. I'm now rather pissed off as I'd spent all day making it look pretty just for some pillock to go and do that. The damage isn't as bad as it could've been (small dent) but it's still a pain in the sodding arse. Not a good start for me.

I'm also coming now. Hopefully with Rick and Al (etc) on the Friday. There better be a space, or you'll get your arse kicked ecks..

People live on the island and have to travel to work every day, so I very much doubt it'll be fully flooded for 5-odd days.

There's still some great rappers around. Common still amazes me, Lupe Fiasco released 2 solid albums, Kanye has 3 great albums too. But yeah, old school and new school are completely different. I personally feel Game's new album isn't all that far off 50's stuff at all as it's all just commercial singing crap. Without Dre's production Game has been nothing, just repeatedly says names of various famous people and that's about as far as his vocabulary stretches it seems. The Documentary was so great because of the beats, and the fact that the name dropping hadn't been around long enough to get annoying. 3 albums in and still saying the same crap, I'm getting pretty bored. If he gets Dre back on his side then he has a chance because the beats on The Documentary were insane, but he fell off hard on Doctor's Advocate, to the extent I wasn't even hyped for this album.

Ever tried keeping track of the amount of stuff Lil' Wayne releases? It's crazy. I remember Papoose last year too, he had like a mixtape out every month for a year or something ridiculous. You say it's amazing he has anything left to write, but, in reality, he doesn't to be perfectly honest. Namedrops on this album: Dr. Dre (5), Biggie (5), Lebron (4) Tupac (4), Suge (4), Kanye (4), Jay-Z (3), Lil Wayne (3), 50 Cent (3), Snoop (3) I can also give you the list of every name he mentions, but I'd literally make this page stupidly long. Don't get me wrong, The Documentary wasn't far off a classic in my eyes. I don't think he's been anywhere near as good on Doctors Advocate or this though.
