What the f**k does this sensor do?!
Jozinobi replied to 200sx-Starlet-Jay's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
^ As above mate. Better to have it in for peace of mind, wont take too much effort. Re-use the rubber bung and make the hole in the pipe tight enough for it to fit without being loose. Joz -
Lovely night pics mate. Like I said came out really well. Would love to see more. Keep up the good EPhotography work. Joz

Welcome to UKSC mate. Our Technical Information Archive has lots of valuable information on suspension and chassis mods, setups etc >Suspension & Chassis Archive The ones from Camskill are only slightly uprated from standard units and would not really serve as a good upgrade, they are not proper performance shocks. As for the Koni Suspension they are damping adjustable but not ride height, only coilovers can do that or air suspension which is not needed. The Konis also require some work with the inserts rather than a straight switch of top mounts, however they are very good for the road and not as hard/harsh as coilovers can be. Coilovers can be pushed to the limit more but are more expensive and not many people justify them unless they want excellent handling at the expense of comfort. With the starlet you want more confident cornering ability as out of the box its nothing to write home about. There is a lot of info in there, please check it out thoroughly as many of your questions have been covered before. There is no right or wrong answer as to which setup to go for, everyone will have different opinions. I have concentrated almost solely on suspension and braking for my EP91 and the results are satisfying. Do some more research before you part with your hard earned cash. Feel free to ask again if you are still stuck. Hope this helps. Joz

Hey guys. Thanks for your kind anticipation lol hope the end product won't disappoint As for tyres Tony, Im honestly still getting used to the 195/50s, and I swear they are still wearing in, they feel a bit different to the 195/45s. The 45s to me felt a lot better, tighter and grippier but thats just me so I would say handle better but the comfort and the bumps are taken a bit harder. people will say there is barely a difference in the two profiles but I believe there is. However the 50's are great to fill more of the arch if you needed to, you don't as your d2s can go lower, my tanabe coilovers only go so far on the front. They just feel bigger mate with the slightly bigger tyre wall, but they absorb bumps a little better and give your more clearance for ramps and speed bumps if you are already a bit too low. With the Eagles tho, the car down to the ground feeling is good, they let u progress on the road well, but that is mainly due to being new tyres and the aggressive uni-directional tread pattern and new tread etc) The Eagles have good rim protection. 195/50 the looks are very similar. Im happy with them tho and am gonna give them a chance to shine. Im no expert but hope this helps. Man technical advice in my own thread, what next? Joz -

Thats the PCD mate. Where did u get them from as you should have asked for them in starlet fitment if possbile unless yours already are then it will be another problem. Mine are 38 and are spot on. Check this Offset Its the number after the PCD e.g PCD 4 x 100 / 38 ET 38 ET means the offset. If you're still stuck then google it mate. Joz

Hey Dane It normally takes a few days for people to notice threads like this. We have a healthy amount of turbo owners on here that would hopefully be interested in your services like the mild steel manifolds etc. Of course not as many as TGTT at present, but I still think your services and products, if successful will still be much appreciated here. There is also the other market I talked about with you, and you would be helping a lot of other people in that area too. I will ask about and see if the products I talked to you about would have interest from the owners themselves. I don't mind doing this. Give it a bit of time mate, hopefully you will get more feedback. Your plans and ideals sounded excellent to me, I can't see why they wouldn't prosper if the service and product was A1. Joz -
Did someone say offset ? What offset are your slipstreams Marc? Joz

Your welcome Steve mate. From an n/a point of view, I've had no problems. I do make sure my coolant and radiator water levels are always topped up. The improvements would be very minimal so don't think it will do a great deal, but there are very few noted problems and they were on the fte. Good luck with your decision. Joz

What a rad cap does is it seals and pressurizes the coolant inside. It raises your radiator's boiling point to give better cooling by allowing the airflow to cool the water for longer before it can recirculate. The TRD cap has a higher pressure rating of 1.3kg/cm2, so it will raise the boiling point of the coolant due to the higher pressure, and thus taking the heat out faster. The coolant expands when heated up. This makes the cooling system more efficient It also makes your car get up to operating temperature a little quicker. There have been very few noted problems with 4efte engines and this rad cap, but they reach higher temperatures and pressures. I have been using mine for well over 1 1/2 years on my n/a ep91 with no problems. Make sure your radiator and coolant pipes are up to scratch for peace of mind. Joz
-
Hope you had a good one Nath! Joz
-
It will fit Steve as I have one fitted to mine. It will raise your rad pressure from 0.9 BAR to 1.3 BAR. Just so you know what you are doing. Joz

Here's some more info on the Screamer Pipe from our UKSC Technical Archive Screamer Pipe. More info on decats can be found there too in the EXHAUST, INTAKE & COOLING Section. Please don't post in there Hope this helps. Joz

N/A Starlet Side bump strip removal... HELP!
Jozinobi replied to 200sx-Starlet-Jay's topic in Lifestyle General
Hi James Some useful info is here Bump Strip Removal There is no way around avoiding the labour of removing the sticky stuff bit by bit by hand, unless u have a buffer but be careful. Petrol has also been used before to weaken the glue, but get it off sharpish. The secret is to find something good to weaken the glue and the hair dryer method also works. Its all worth it of course, a nice clean look. I had mine professionally removed as I didnt want the hassle. Hope this helps Joz -
