  1. Hey Mike Thanks for your interest, its a big step for all of us who want to go with the language barrier and everything but thats the whole fun of it (the culture shock is expected!) and we have a very sorted person namingly JGT (James) who will be guiding us as well as enjoying the trip with us. We really wanted to go with him in the first place but it wasnt possible. Now that we have the chance and JGT has confirmed sometime in March we can go ahead and look for flights and dates for when suitable. It can't really get any better than that. We will keep you posted in this thread, it is only 2-3 months time til the trip so we will do our very best to get info here asap regarding dates and details. We will find the best deals possible and hopefully organise it so that we all get on the same flight together. We will also let you know how much money you will need to have for flights, accommodation and spending and what form of money to take etc. As for worrying about being in another country, our guide/translator and friend JGT (James) has actually lived in Tokyo before and sampled its delights so we are in very safe and trustworthy hands. The trip will be ideally for 10 days so that we can have the most enjoyable time possible. If there was a chance to go with a more sorted group of people this is it and there should be no regrets. All we ask for is that you are over 18, have an open mind and are prepared to enjoy yourself and take in 10 days of what the capital city of the rising sun has to offer... SiCaln has had to pull out which is unfortunate - but if he changes his mind or can make it that would be fantastic. Joz

  15. Nice work mate. Good luck with getting the rest of the kit on, will be nice to see it all. Remember to get your headlights realigned later. Joz
  16. Its a very popular and worthwhile mod mate, there is not much to go wrong if you install it properly and that your car is running well regularly. Its not difficult to install and a lot of people have self installed with no problems. It can be found in scrapyards with a top price of £50, £40 is the lowest you would find, the rest of the info is in the n/a technical section as this has been asked so often, please look there. The 4efe is quite basic so there is not a real need to expect too much from it mate, real tuning would make sense if you convert to the 1.3 4efte engine or another performance engine where the power/performance is there in the first place to be taken advantage of/tuned, whereas the 4efe is an economy based engine. That would of course cost some money so please work with what your budget will allow. The 5efe (1.5) engine is a straight swap and makes the starlet much more driveable. The 5efhe is the japanese performance version of the 5efe and comes with high lift cams, high compressions rods and pistons and is mapped for higher ron jap fuel, it has wiring issues tho. All this info on the engines and manifold can be found in the link provided earlier, please make more of an effort as there is so much info already there just waiting for you. Joz
  17. Its fine mate. Enjoy the site and your starlet, and ask again if you're stuck. Joz
  18. Your Sportif is a 1.3 4efe engine mate same as all the other UK starlets as standard. Joz
  19. Make sure to check both links mate. You won't find as much info on the manifold in the technical archive. Joz
  20. We'll have to wait and find out Wullie... Joz
  21. Hi mate To cut a long story short, everything you want to know is in our extensive Technical Section N/A Engine Section<Click Here Everything that has ever been asked is in there especially the jdm manifold question! I understand you are new to the site, it would be best to have a better look around the site to get a feel for things. Please post in Technical Discussions if you have anything technical to ask about your car (check that it hasnt been covered already), not in General. Enjoy Joz
