Hi Carlos Welcome to UkStarletClub. The KP60's are quite rare nowadays, even rarer to find one in good condition. Its great that you have a passion for them tho, legendary cars. Will you be driving a starlet soon? Enjoy the site. Joz

K this will sound strange but my throttle cable has been a little slack before, and my mate did actually tighten it there on the spot, not actually overtighten but just right so it can be done with what you have. Joz

Oh right mate, didnt know it was your old one. I see he meant SR replica, not the actual backbox, my bad... He asked some questions and I answered them. Joz

Hey String All uk EP91 starlets have the same standard oem exhaust system and the same diameter which is 1.75". An upgraded system would be either 2" or 2.25". I have a full 2" decat system on my UK EP91. The majority of replica and universal backboxes start from 2" inlet diameter and most are usually 2.5" which is too big. The proper Starlet SR TTE backbox is the same as the normal system inlet diameter which is 1.75". If the inlet is any bigger then it aint a proper TTE. The TTE backbox is also a replica of the oem backbox shape so that it all lines up over the axle and fits perfect. Its more than likely your backbox is 2"+, if you want better feedback do some measurements or take some pics from when you do fitting. Its not normally a problem to weld a 2" inlet backbox to a 1.75" exhaust system, but with the use of brackets/flanges it wont bolt up as good and leave room for possible rattling or gas escape. Try fishyjnr's method. Hope this helps. Joz

I'll keep everyone posted on ANY developments. Am still waiting for JGT to post in here must be still having issues getting onto the site. Once I get the chance to talk to him, I'll post his message on here to all thats interested. There is also lots of information a few pages back... The earliest the trip can be is in December anyhow if we want an experienced and friendly guide, its awful good of him to offer his services. If the trip was in 2009 we could go anytime and I mean anytime that suits. But we want something to look forward to in 2008 right ;) Joz

Hi mate Check the section you just posted in (MOT and Maintenance) as there is loads of info on gearbox oil, what to use, how much etc already covered ;) Cheers Joz

Can you not get one of Mc_Chu Craig? I was after one before (changed my mind) but he said it would have to cut in half due to astro postage costs. It would be worth enquiring about if u havent already, and if he can provide one, offer a global courier like DHL or something that can ship it to u in one piece. Good luck! Joz

Hi Bean Its been done to make everything more specific and purposeful seeing as we have had a lot of activity in the tech section in the past year. Sorry if it does seem like a lot to take in and get through, however it does put everything into its own category and is more organised and extensive than a lot of other sites. If you wanted to discuss something at least it would be on a particular subject in a particular section. It is also a vast improvement over the old tech section which was 22 pages of mayhem, the backlog of older discussions also went unnoticed. The most recent and active topics are always at the top end of the page so you dont have to look through all of it. We will perhaps look at merging some sections together in the future to further streamline things as we are still working on it and looking at the bigger picture for UKSC. We thank members who have been posting their discussions in the right sections provided lately, its much appreciated and hopefully will become much more regular. More feedback on the tech section welcome. Joz

Best news I heard this year Joz;)

Hi mate I had Razo pedals fitted a little while back, and to get the accelerator pedal on, I had to drill through it twice (the plastic). The only way to get it on is to dot down the position of the new holes you need and drill as close to the stalk as possible to the right so that the new pedal cover doesnt get in the way of the carpet area and that you can still plant your foot fully down, this means the pedal wont be perfectly centered on the old plastic bit but its the only way you'll get an accelerator pedal on. You cant remove the original as its one piece and you will have to put the new pedal over it (pedal cover) I cant find a pic of them mate and I have no cam at the moment. Its the same hassle for all EP owners Im afraid. I'll post up if I find a pic, hovever Im sure there are lots of other members who have aftermarket pedals. Hope this helps. Joz
