  1. keri dude i messaged u ageessssss ago about some pads???
  2. hey dudes wish ruby luck after 7 months in storage shes going for her MOT tomorrow lol if she passes ive promised her a 4efte! what a lucky girl she is.
  3. nah man not long after i drove back down from yours after collecting her i lost my job lol so shes been in storage for flippin ages...but im putting her back on the road now. ile just test her on some gravel or sumthing and see if all 4 hook up properly.
  4. hey guys i bought my 95 out of the garage charged the battery and fired her up...wanted to see if the viscous coupling was working properly so blocked the car up and all 4 wheels span ok, but when i had the back wheels on the floor and front wheels still on blocks, i could bring the clutch up a bit on low revs and front wheels still turning obviously, but car only moved a tad...as if it wasnt 100% locking the back wheels up. it seemed to grip/lock the back wheels up harder when revved. is this working correctly? i thought that it locked up completely if the front wheels turned any faster than
  5. ive got the 4wd custom coilies on mine - at the moment they are just set by eye judgement im waiting to get the turbo conversion done before getting them properly laser aligned etc, but i can say the handling is pretty mint i can really chuck it at islands. but the thing that makes the meisters stand out for me is the ride. not too harsh and yet nice and firm with no body roll at all. expensive yes. but terrific buy. you get what you pay for.
  6. ahhh mint mate cannot wait to see a video of this monster
  7. wicked mate looking forward to seeing her when she is run in and ready to boost
  8. hey mate sounds like a nice project. theres been a few 4wd starlets running 300+bhp i think, ted, weejohn, gaz's blue one, if im right here, the 4wd boxes have the same strength internals as the gt and glanza boxes and we all know they can take a lot of power. ive got an ep95 myself. decided to go with that as i previously had a td04 glanza and even with an LSD the traction was annoying couldn't really plant it until 3rd and 4th so well annoying. thats the reason ive decided to try a 4wd one this time.
  9. hmm maybe your right, well the pads are a little worn, i bought them second hand so maybe just needs new pads. defo needs new shoes in the drums tho.
  10. cars looking mint mate, must admit im really wanting to get discs on the back of my ep95 aswell. with drums on the back and WMS 4 pots on the front the braking power just dont seem great really - not that sharp i dunno maybe its just me. stops well from speed i just wanted something that feels a little sharper aswell lol
  11. realistically when do u think a group buy could be arranged for these diffs guys? and yeah the difference between LSD and non LSD in a normal starlet turbo is massive, but ive never driven a turbo'd 4wd starlet so cant rly comment on grip levels with or without an LSD as mine still has its 80bhp beast in it
  12. nice mate thats impressive, so the vicous coupling is mainly there to take stress off the rest of the components then? i just cant see how the back end of the propshaft is ever gna be spinning faster than the front end at the transfer box. so i dont see why its so risky to just have a solid shaft prop
  13. just thought it would be good for the 4 paw owners (myself especially as i really don't understand it) if some of the more 'in the know' members could explain exactly what transmission wind up is - why it occurs and how its avoided. for example, why is it if you have a differential front and rear, can you not have a solid shaft through the middle. is there any cars that dont have couplings in the middle? also, if you have a turbo'd 4wd starlet with decent power doing a full launch its conceivable its gna break traction so talk me through exactly what happens with the viscous coupli
  14. yeh i spose so mate. soz for all the questions but what if i bought a 5e lol whats the deal with the loom then? custom job?
  15. cheers lads well a few mixed replys there...is it much hassle putting an auto glanza engine in. they probz havent had much abuse being an auto, but surely they need some kind of custom loom work etc? i hear you with the bodyparts dude...heres how mines sitting atm (calipers are now black) i just wanted the glanza skirts, rear bumper and stock spoiler for it tho make it look a bit sleeker and lower. so it looks like this (besides the front end). im leaving the front alone completely.
  16. can a GT engine be used in the ep95's? or has it gotta be a glanza 4efte? a friend of mine who is a verrry good auto electrician has agreed to help me convert the car to turbo. but its a lot cheaper to get a GT breaker than a glanza....
  17. what kinda power u gna be having in your 4 paw before it really needs LSD's? i spose they will improve traction at any power level especially in the wet
  18. i had this dilemma but the miesters are the dogs dangles in my opinion mate. im sure nick at TD will vouch for them being good aswell. plus they are custom built for the 4 paw starlets. cracking coilovers. really firm without being too harsh.
  19. i honestly dont understand people saying that the 4 paws are probz heavier and bulkier due to the 4wd system. i can honestly say my ep95 feels easily as nimble as the glanza was if not more so. and a 4 paw mega meet wud be ace lol id travel for that one for sure. might have found a way to keep mine now thank god
  20. bottom line is yes some engines take a lot of power on standard pistons and rods but tis always just on your luck or the roll of a dice whether or not it blows i dont care what the jamaicans say aha. shit to hear this though im sure sparky will av it forged and running on 1.5 bar before we know it.
  21. same tyres as i got for mine dude, the speed that it can hit a bend at is pretty much ridiculous lol
  22. hey keri, i need some pads, whats the best pads for fast road use? are any of them more responsive than others? need a price for some new ones. cheers.
  23. haha sorry dude, looks like im gna be going with a 5e. gta agree with ya tho its a shame they dont come in any other cars i can find. paseos are nice motors.
