  1. Well what i did when i built my forged 5e, i used a 4e belt, and i spaced out the top bracket by 10mm, then i had to file the semi circular slit wider on the bottom bracket a couple o mm's
  2. I dont think the turbo will be a major concern, I believe the the bosch vp37 injection pump will max out at about the 150bhp mark.
  3. My key fob also sets off our door chime off occassionaly. Thats what my parents get for buying a cheap and nasty wireless door chime from Aldi!!! hahaha lol
  4. Sorry to hear about the car bud, my mate was doing the same course you in uni in swansea and was telling me about your car a few weeks back. Ive only now just had a look at your build thread. What a shame its given up the get go. I'll give ya a word of warning, dont bother replacing the rings of one piston, get them all done. Afterall you did say urself that you hadent bothered to check the piston to wall clearance and neither had you checked the end gaps, think about it the same thing could happen to the other 3 cylinders. You cant just throw things together you have to check things!
  5. Land Rover downpipe gasket This is the closest u'll get. You may need to elongate the bolt holes in the gasket to get it to fit.
  6. The Wossner pistons have a -6cc dish. Weisco do a flat top piston and also -10cc dished pistons.

  8. my local toyota are brilliant, ive never had any troubles with them. They always go off the model code number (EP91-AGMQY) when i want to order something. Go back there at tell them to type that into the model code box on the front page of their parts catalogue!!!

Also cause we came from so far a way we thought we would have a look at all the cars in the Keighly Trade Center. saw 2 glanza's and they looked like they were pretty shagged! Anyone else been there?

  15. Sorry.........yeah i meant 10,000 i added 2 many zeros. you can tune that little 700cc sirion engine up 2 200bhp, whats the maximum power you can get out of a 4efte 180bhp is achevable from my engine with standard internals and a copper headgasket.
  16. Most of the turbo daihatsu engines are hi revers, the 3cyl 700cc turbo engine in a Sirion revs to 100,000 rpm . What revs do starlet turbos limit on?
  17. Is there anybody on this forum that knows a lot about the yaris? Cause i was wondering if its possible to transplanting the 130 turbo engine from the Daihatsu YRV into the yaris and mateing it with a tsport gearbox, cause the yrv isnt available in manual a also heard it uses the same block as the 1.3 yaris ? Any ideas?
  18. The charade was originally based on a starlet. Toyota actually owns 60% of Daihatsu. you could say starlets and charades are cousins, (sorry i kown im being weird). If you compare the clocks on a Charade G11 Turbo with an ep71 Starlet they are vuirtually identical. I didnt think anybody would mined me joining this forum, most people like the little car cause they dont see much of them around and also they see the 1ltr turbocharged engine as a novelty.   19. Here's my ride , its a nice example of a charade, the shell tends to rust easily, but mine hasent. its only got a slight bubble on the rear, driver side arch. Here are the list of mods: Lowered 35MM. Dump Valve. Blue Flame 2 1/2" exhaust system with a 3 1/2" tailpipe Custom Made Iduction kit. Blitz Turbo Timer. Polybush Kit. After puting on the exhaust system i had to take the induction kit off, and replace it with an replacment element filter. This was because the turbo was spooling up 2 fast because of such good flow, and the boost pressure was creeping up because the wastegate couldnt co
  20. The little 993c engine is indestructible but, realisticly only 180bhp is achievable from the little 3cyl monster, 200bhp is possible but requires a throttle body conversion which is a bit of a hassle.
  21. Was looking on the net for 4efte conversions, and was suprised to find that someone has transplanted a 4efte into a g100 charade, im am now considering doing the same with my Charade GTti, i dont wanna follow the crowd. Id like to have something a little diffrent. what do you guys think?
