  1. they are stretch bolts mate, almost all toyota's are stretch bolts, hence why u dont need to re torque them after u tighten them the first time trust me, i have built plenty
  2. no there is not, i have standard toyota ones put in my head and there is not a single issue, 30psi and still holding strong do NOT re use the old ones as they stretch alot, and they fail very easy, i have done it before on another car that use stretch bolts and it didnt last very long at all....
  3. pretty sure they were 20 bux each plus postage man, would rather sell both and its probably better to replace them both anyways, they are very very frail little lights
  4. hey dude, yer you gotta take the whole panel off and it is a dead set ass of a job, the bulbs you need are a toyota only bulb i believe, i have never ever seen them before and i worked in automotive retail selling panels and lights to smash repair shops.... the part number for them is 90981-14008 i have 2 sitting here at my house, so if you cant get any mate, send me a pm on the au site and we will work out a deal for ya
  5. yer you would need to have baffles or at least foam fill it so the fuel doesnt slosh around on the track causing a lean out, and there is somewhere that does tanks that go in the tyre well actually, i cant remember where i seen them but it uses the standard tyre well and takes about the same amount of fuel as srtandard, but puts the weight at the back and still keeps it fairly low
  6. the plugs will be fine mate, the only difference in the BKR6E and the 6EP is that the BKR6EP will have cost u more as it is platinum also, personally i wouldnt use the -11's either, get a set of feeler gauges and gap them down to .8mm instead of 1.1mm ;) i use the BKR7E in mine or sometimes if it is going to be used on the track or given a heap of boost for a few weeks i use R5671A-7 which is a non projected plug pre gapped at .7mm and helps stop the spark being blown out by the high boost i use
  7. hybrid cars are terrible though, they might not burn as much petrol, but the energy used to make the batteries for them uses the same amount of emissions a normal car makes in a few years anyways.... i cant see how they can sell them as the best car for emissions and that haha im actually looking at getting a nissan cube or toyota rukus (i dunno what they would be called over there, but the toyota looks very similar to the cube) i think they look awesome as, and practical and can use it to tow my jetski and i can give it to the father and steal his ute when i need to tow the starlet to race e
  8. normal road tyres, like an everyday tire that is made to last 40 000kms is better grip when cold (well, warm but not burnout warm) and if the track has been VHT prepped for slicks forget about racing because VHT compound is terrible on street tyres.... its weird how a compound made to get slicks better traction makes road tyres worse... as for your question about a glanza, i wouldnt know, we dont have glanza's in australia BUT a 3.1 60 foot time is terrible lol, what u need to try and do is give it a bunch of revs, and as u feed it more throttle leaving the line, slip the clutch out slowly, s
  9. agreed with the above post, i took my belt off to try it and see if it was any worse before i went nuts and took the whole system out, it was the best thing i ever done, i left the power rack in though as im pretty sure it would be less turns lock to lock aswell, driving really slow isnt all that bad, but parking can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes, but the car is that small i have never had an issue with parking some say good some say bad, personally, i think its great, so much more feel without power steer, but i will advise trying it first, just rip the belt off, take it for a quick squi
  10. you should never do a burnout on normal street tyres on the strip.... hot street tyres are less likely to grip anyways ;) unless your using a semi slick or a drag radial, do not do a burnout, its pointless and will make you wheelspin ;) @animalgt, im trying to find the thread it was in, just cant find it, but i would love to get into 11's even if it is an 11.99 its still an 11 and i will stop drag racing (only had my car on the strip twice since the rebuild anyways)
  11. here is another one with leo the supra guy he actually owns a tough as supra too ;) and plays the synth like a champ
  12. one of the aussie guys had run into the 11's on street tyres, so i know it is possible.... i know mid 11's might be outta the question, but as i said, im REALLY just after trap speeds, drag racing does not interest me in the slightest seeing as though i set my car up for touge and mountain runs and open tracks, therefore i really have to change the setup to make it work well at the drags, my ultimate goal though, is to run an 11 in the car, when im ready to do so
  13. well kinda, i run federal 595 RS-R's on my car all the time, which are a semi slick, but i wanna try them, try break into the 11'sand go as far as they will take me, and if i cant get it under a 12 flat, i will go to the MT et streets and see how much better they are, before going all out on a full race slick realistically, i am not aiming for times as much, because i cant go to a local drag strip the nearest one is 400km away and its crap, so the next closest is almost 1000km away but it is a really well prepped track..... and besides drag racing doesnt really interest me in any way, im main
  14. look at the 60 foot time though, and he doesnt have a slip for it, so it may not be accurate.... i know 11's can be done at 118mph, but on a street tyre i have only seen mid to high 11's, and im aiming for sub 11.5's
  15. what slicks did u use??? the only times i have been i have run a normal street tyre, drove 400km there, raced, and then drove 400km home lol... next time im going to have some full slicks and more power so im aiming to trap at about 125mph+ with the new turbo and tuning
  16. im thinking on a full slick on a radial tyre a 118 defs wont go low 11's but im getting a bigger turbo now, so should be able to get a bit more pace out of it now
  17. yer 11's can be done, there is a few guys in aus doing it, and i know they are on standard boxes with an lsd or a welded diff centre... i dunno how they do it though, cause i cant get mine to hook up even on semi slicks and launch control... i just seem to break boxes, or run a terrible time at high MPH, which isnt too bad because i know that high mph shows the real power of a car anyways, and my mph is equiv of a low 11
  18. you dont need a "dog box" to run fast times, straight cut gears maybe, but not dog engagement because dogs arent really much stronger than syncros and just as easy to break i am currently on the hunt for straight cuts, but wanna steer clear of dogs, because it is my daily driven car, and i wish to keep it that way for some time as my other car isnt exactly any good on fuel...
  19. yer it is a bit of a money pit, spend close to 30k aud on it now and i seriously have no idea how HAHA engine cost alot though as i got tons of custom bits and had a few go's at certain parts but yer if u want it, come get it lol, its in cairns, australia and it has a blown turbo, so wherever u go in it, i will know from the smoke trail
  20. dude, it isnt that hard to find a GT for sale at all, u clearly arent looking hard enough or you are far too picky join the AU starlet club mate, u will find a fair few gt's for sale or if your hell keen there are a few guys selling glanza replicas like u wish to make anyways and no, enzo wouldnt be able to import one over, the laws here are completely different and u can not import these cars anymore.... UNLESS u have owned the car for a year prior to it being brought to australia, and it also has to have been driven, by you, from your home address from the country u have bought it from f
  21. mine runs sweet without both sensors im running an emanage ultimate and have a wideband fitted instead and have it plugged into the EMU to self tune
  22. there are a couple here in aus that have gone very low 11's using the stock gearboxes.... cv joints and splines are the bits that fail on most setups... i think no one has broken the amount of gearboxes i have though yet.... my car has run 13 flat at 118mph so i know its good for more, but i always bust 3rd gear or the final drive....
  23. that wing is a stock wing it is one of the very few nismo built s15's that were made this car was bought from japan with 5km on the dials when i took ownership in australia..... this is how i took delivery of it (minus the nismo sticker on the windscreen and it had some ugly stripes on the side the kit was a genuine vertex, and those wheels were the 20 inch "hey look at me" wheels, the wheels for track work were white 18 inch TE37's, but they were abit exxy to let my gf drive the car around on and risk getting gutter rashed..... so i cant see how u call that over the top.... the car is very
  24. yer s15's are nice as hell, mine was a fun machine just built so i could stand on the throttle at 100kmh and start spinning the tyres without a clutch pop and it didnt look over the top
