Be aware that most TDO's will not let you out on track with slicks unless you have in a fully caged car. Aero mods are not totally pointless.

As title really, anyone got one they would like to sell?
-
Just so long as they don't get flipped on for a profit.
-
How are these worth £100? Mental.

It's not a road car, so comfort isn't too much of a concern. I just want to make sure a 205/50 will fit under the arches, it sounds like it will Thanks

haha, mega. This would be an aswesome thing to tow my Starlet with. GLWTS

Haha.. Maybe it was foolish of me to let them go for nothing, but they're of no use to me and hopefully someone can get some use out of them. Would be pretty pissed to find them for sale somewhere else immediately afterwards, but I guess that's the risk I take.

First refusal is to GT1992, they are stored at my friends lockup so they can't be collected tonight. I'll give him a day or two, and if I've not heard I'll get in touch Ep'd. Cheers chaps Tim

Just to be clear, it's the two front ones, the rears ended up in a skip.

Does anyone know if the 205/50 tyre will fit under the arches or am I forced to use a 195/45 on a 7" wide 15" rim? Cheers
-
Ok, I can't bite my tongue any longer. Good luck with the sale, but this is very much a 'show cage' not a roll cage.

I wouldn't recommend bolting directly to the floor, certainly not without sufficient strengthening, it's only single skin, any large impact will easily rip it straight out! If it's a road car find some starlet subframes, if it's not then fit these.. http://cbradleymotorsport.co.uk/fabrication/repair-panels/weld-in-seat-rail-mounting-kit.html

The majority of race cars use marine ply for their splitters because as you would imagine it's water proof, Absolutely useless on the road, so unless you've exhausted the cars performance on track, then adding aero should be last on the list, as should adding power but let's not get started with that one. Another thing, for your aero parts to be effective they need to be low to the ground, really low to the ground, again making them useless for the road. That's a friend of mine, the aero is proven to work, he's added splitter, entire flat floor, diffuser, rear wing, etc.

Glanza Chassis Upgrades - where to start?
TimD replied to smithyithy's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Tyres, before anything else fit good tyres. Good tyres are not Yokohama Pradas either, I've never seen a sidewall flex like the ones that previous owner of my car fitted, dreadful. 595rsr are a good cheap road/track tyre, start there. -
