How bizarre. I know of people, true gamers and pc geeks who support Avast 100%. I guess it's which one fancies really as Avast and AVG apparently are nearly the same (not used AVG myself to concur). I use mine in conjunction with: Windows firewall, Windows defender, Spybot search and destroy And Avast

Just bumped into this thread now. I would also get rid of Norton, good for nothing. I would get Avast personally, although AVG does nigh on the same thing. If you decide to go for Avast then go on their website and download the free version - this lasts a year, but I have a keygen which gives 30 years usage
