looks like ive hit a nerve. im glad it isnt just me and other people feel like they are being shit on. steve, some of the mods on there are good (jay for example is a good moderator) but others are just cocks who use the mod status as a lever to cunt people off. craig made a good point up there about traders.... theres only so much stuff you can sell to the few people who actually pay to be members... what happens when they are done? do you really expect some new starlet owner to pay up to join a forum they havnt even got the fel of? like fuck will they! theyll see the payment thing, and close it down! i think this is the beginning of the end. few years down the line youll have a few boys on there paying up for it. but itll only be a few hundred if there lucky. macker will have to pen a public section, because it simply wont work. other car clubs who have payable memberships offer discounts on items/insurance etc. im not really sure that tgtt will as its a (with respect) 2 bit operation run in mackers/jays spare time. thoe other clubs have full time dedicated people sorting out sales and deals. like i said before, its a crying shame.

this really is bullshit... ive been on the tgtt forums since the very first incarnation, been a member for YEARS. im not blowing my own trumpet, but i am one of the few (and i mean few) people on the site who actually knows what they are talking about. the amount of times ive set topics straight when people are all throwing their 2p of "information" in, ive lost count. i only go on tgtt to help people. the general banter has turned to shit, its UNBELIEVABLY over moderated (thanks to too many moderators who dont know how to manage a forum) and the community spirit it used to have is non existant. so, i only go there to help people who are stuck. admittedly ive been a cunt and butted heads with people a few times. but on the whole im helpful. and now im supposed to pay for this? i know its only 10 euros, but its an utter piss take. i wont be paying to be a member, and its a shame.
