  1. yes mate, the engine dampers help a little bit, as do anti lift plates and stiffer suspension. or you could learn to launch properly :::P:P:P:
  2. mate you were decelerating... the ecu cant cut the revs out when it is being forced to rev that hard. think about it.

BoostJunkie has got it almost right ;p a glanza wouldnt kick a vtrs arse, it would just beat it. not enough to call it an arse kicking, and if you let it go on to 70+ MPH the vtr would pull you in and go past. stock vs stock, im upset to say, a vtr is a much better car. and a (healthy) vts will beat a glanza in a straight like and round corners.

  7. straight line youll be ok (not great, just ok) and round corners, he will destroy you.

  10. set everything to zero. it will boost about 3 psi. then work your way up from that. itll take you a few days to get it just right.
  11. best thing for painting the engine (the metal parts that is) is caustic soda. it just rapes everything. wipe it off and youre ready to go. it gets every type of dirt off you can imagine.

  14. i have one mate, they are very good. there is no set figures for how to get the right boost on them, all cars are different and settings are different for each car. youll find the manual here.. if you still dont get it, let me know and ill try to walk you through it.

  18. it aint running 1 bar, you are hitting the fuel cut mate, it is not a good thing to hit that very often... you need a FCC/FCD to sort that out, or tune the boost down to about .8 bar until you can sort it out.

  20. he says hes running 1 bar, so it cant be fuel cut. the juddering sounds like an ignition problem. try this.... (itll be easy as you have a front mount) drive the car for about 20 mins so the engine is properly warm, pull over, turn the ignition off. one of the middle plug leads. is there steam? if so you need to get the plugs out and try the barrels out (which is a pain in the bum) f not, then come back and well have another go.
  21. if your map was fuggered, it would either not be reading enough boost and youd be running lean. or it would be stuck open and youd be overfueling something silly, im talknig 80 miles to a tank silly. with a smashed cat, youd be popping flames everywhere. i dont think its injectors because they tent to either stick open or closed. so youd be either mega fueling or no fuel. so i doubt its that. the car would run shit as well. so unless it is that extreme id look elsewhere. seriously, change your thermo, itll take you half ano hour and cost 12 quid. have you reset the ecu? they can work th
