was about 235 atw if i remember rightly? also, paul who did the mapping is great, id recommend him to anyone, hes mapped alot of the big HP starlets, including both of Dave Burwashes. he knows his onions, so to say.

thats fly hp lads. if it was that atw on low boost it would be the most powerful starlet ever, lol. itll probably around 300atw when its fully mapped. my work scanners only let me scan as PDFs... so ill have to go with that.

na, many turbo setups dont have cooling equipment. if youre not boosting alot then the air wont really be too hot. its only when you reallly start to boost that it starts to need to be cooled. that kit is probably only running about 5 psi. but would work well on a vtec due to the hi compression. it wouldnt need more boost as its just a mild performance upgrade. if he forged the engine and went crazy, youd need a cooler. but as it is now, its ok.

just got back from the mapping session. bad news is the wastegate spring was too weak and i could only get 1.2 bar. good news is that on the base map at 1.2 bar it made 287.9hp @ 5955rpm and 262.2 ft/lbs @ 5666rpm ^^; need to sort a few things out then go back for a full boost map. its still fun to drive though the guy thinks it will be an easy 350hp when its running at full boost. in the way home the fecking pulley jumped a tooth... so i need to fix that, but on the whole, its mad.

i personally wouldnt, as when it cools down it sucks it back in from the tank. when hot it pushes about half a litre out, i tried it the other day.

to get to those you go from the inside. take the plastic piece off the inside, then the bulb just comes out.

it isnt the head gasket youve answered your own question, the fan isnt coming on. they overheat quickly if you are not getting cold air flow over the rad. test the fan on a 12v source to see if its the actual fan. if the fan is ok it will be a fuse or something similar.

you should ideally put them back in the same order. but the shim heights are te same. so it wont matter. its like valves, they should go back in the same order. but it isnt absolutely nessessary

they are so much fun and quite nippy. but after the 5th head gasket in as many months its time to move on ^^
