  7. yeah youll have to drop the box right out to get at it properly. the flywheel nuts are tight and youll need to have good access to get them undone properly. also, if you have an engine crane or anything just have it above to hold the engine. once the gbox comes out the block will swing down dowards the drivers side as its only on one mount, so youll need something strong to steady it and stop it dropping down. good luck mate!
  8. if youre looking to spend 500 quid on a set of wheels. id go for some second hand, good condition jap wheels over rotas any day. some rota designs have been known to shear off the rim, they are also poorly cast and the paint isnt the best either. they usually need repainting after a year or so.
  9. a while, im in no rush. im enjoying the power it has now, not much can keep up in its current form. once i get bored of/used to that, i know ive got the scope to keep going. itll get there when it gets there ^^
  10. why not just go to pod on a quiet rwyb day? when weve gone on quiet days, you literally get up the strip every 10 mins.
  11. nope, can change the crank with the block in no probs.
  12. in this order. (you need to take the pulley off first, get someone to sit in the car 1st gear with their foot on the brake. its a bastard to get off!) alternator pulley, oil pump, gearbox, clutch, flywheel, sump, pump oil feed. loosen off the crank caps and the big ends on the rods then the thrust bearing. take em all off. crank will drop out.
  13. yeah thats running totally on a blocked spring mate. i havnt even loked at touching the set gain on the wastegate yet. ill get round to it in good time. boost controller tuning is one of them things that takes a few weeks of driving to get right.

  17. you wont get the 4e to be unreliable no matter what you do. unless you rev the wank out of it or start forcing induction. they can take alot of abuse.
  18. under a grand. low boosting a car is cheepz.
  19. what exhaust manifold have you got coming, that will make or break the engine power wise. 4-1 manifold will promote torque 4-2-1 will give higher rev hp. then silly still like come air feeds to air filter. etc
  20. im not. i would turbo the shit out of that. t2 or something small with about 5 psi. would be a right little monster. even a ct9 would work well!
  21. i have to second that mate. for the money youll spend getting a kp to a level where it can competently drift youll be able to buy 3 s13s. short wheelbase cars are not goot drifters mate. most KPs are used for stockrod racing or grass rallying.
