No worrys bud. We all have to start somewhere with a new car.Figuring out where parts are located etc. When you have your fcd let us know and we will talk you through it if youre still not sure. Its a simple job if you splice the right wires and set it properly.Also make sure you have the backing mods (fuel wise) . Dont just go fitting a fcd or you will be heading for a popped engine.

Even better, buy a wideband gauge and that way you have it for future use.There allways uber handy to have in any car

If the diagnostic came back clear, I'd check youre thermostat first. Sorry to VTRick , i thought rich had allready replaced one.My mistake. That could well be why its overfuelling, so replace that and see how it feels then. But tbh rich, i wouldnt worry just by comparing youre V to others you have driven, they may have different condition engines etc. So many variables that make an engine of the same type feel completely different. I'd suggest getting the thermostat replaced, and if its no different, take a trip to youre nearest rollers to have the fuelling checked. It could just be that

As WallaceGlanza stated, sorry but if you couldnt figure out that the block in the diagram is the ECU plugs, then forget trying to do this youreself. IF you decide to try it, do this. open youre golove box up, there will be 3 screws holding the top of the glovebox to the dash, 1 screw at the bottom left and 1 screw in the bottom right. Remove these and pull the glove box compartment out.Its held in with a clip at the top left. When you have pulled the glovebox out a bit, get youre hand in behind it, and unplug the speaker.Throw the glovebox on the back seat. You will see the ECU, Its

Just takes a bit of time to play with to get the settings spot on. Brilliant controllers when they work. The limiter and audiable warning are very handy. We could all give you our settings but it wont help you because they differ , what turbo you have , other mods and also what the actuator is set at. Just have a play with it untill it boosts nice and fast and holds full boost without dropping off.

If its a turbo, yank that cat off and introduce it to Mr Chisel. Rip interior out and all un-needed gadgets like air con etc and if its a glanza, bypass the boost restriction.That will make a huge difference in 1st and 2nd . Other than them, hp = £

Mate run a diagnostic check, See if you get the map sensor error code pop up. Sounds like youre map sensor is up the wall, making it ovverfuel. Thats obviously if you havent got any leaks in the vacum lines as lobotomoy said. But it could also be the temp probe sensor. Best thing to do is to get it to a rolling road bud.They will diagnose the problem

Well if you hadnt had a headunint allready installed, i would have guessed at the dodgy iso connectors. Mine are pretty much that shape, i had to buy a convertor adaptor to convert them into ISO format from the dodgy jap style. Can you get a photo of the wires going into the connector and how many pins there is ? Everything connected and working? if so leave it

lol nah matey, i was actually talking about a guy i know, do alot of work for him. He has had a brand new set of Teins pop within 20k miles.Not too clever when youre paying such a high price tag for them. Amazing dampers for track slagging it, but i wouldnt run the harsher springs with them for everyday driving.Just makes it sore on the old ass ;)
