Starlet gt major ct9 lag/ possible boost leak?
Socks replied to lee0100's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
If its blowing you will hear the ticking/tapping blowing noise like any exhaust... This would cause slow spool too... But if its not blowing it can only be actuator imo! -
Anyone that's ever said there internally gated screamer downpipe doesn't blow is a liar... lol You cant 100% seal them! You can get them close... So it hardly blows but there not designed to have a screamer! lol If you want a screamer, get a tial and a proper fanimold!

Worn Out Actuator is a good port of call! If your still on the stock one...? -
Nothing should need adjusting no... Just make sure you prime the turbocharger's oil system and be careful with the oil feed/return as these can crack if abused... If they crack and dump your oil, good bye engine!

Perfect time of year to remove this! haha! In all seriousness, the system is heavy, puts load on your engine and noticeable gains can be achieved by removal of it! Big Thanks to Glanza_Ragger for the Article and Photos! http://www.ukstarletowners.com/page/articles.html/_/engineandtuning/air-conditioning-removal-r48 Enjoy Owners!
