  1. stem seals can be done without taking the head off if your clued up. So not a huge biggy! However, if you want to refresh the gasket/cambelt/water pump. nows a good time to do so.
  2. k20 is the best 4cyl engine in the world. So correct choice. Issues your going to encounter: 1, Unlike keeping things within the same family. (Toyota) differences between engines and chassis, means more custom work. Clocks, some connectors, some elements of driveshafts, linkages. etc are much more likely to work with a Toyota Engine. 2, Height. The K20 is a very tall engine. You dont realise how small a 4E-FTE is until you look at other 4cyl engines out there. The K20 engine in a ep82 in jdm, if you've ever seen a shot of the car from a low angle, it has NO ground Clearance. So id

Easy enough to fit by taking the clocks out. JDM Clip In Sun Visor Nice little JDM extra. Clips inside the EP91 Starlet Windscreen at the top. Gives a nice OEM Blue Tinted Feel.     The other issue is ground clearance. When my sump is sorted out, on my 2zz. I will have the same ground clearance as a 4E. Despite the 2zz being a taller engine. However, the 3S-GTE is even bigger still. This is how much Dans GT had: The car wasnt lowered much.

    E153 is what I run . Its the box to have thats for sure! Its simply monsterous inside! As for 3sgte into ep again. You cant use the front bar as a mounting point. It isnt strong enough. (hence why I didnt) So you'd also need to fab additional subframe/bracing/mounting at the front.... Pic of dans car when it failed:

    The amount of chopping involved to chassis legs. Rear end to mount the subframe. May as well have just used a ep82! kept the ep85 as there rare enough!

    This car went long ago. Shame. He had issues with the engine tearing the engine mounts off the chassis tho... Besides its too heavy. 2zz conversion ive done is a bit heavier (due to using a 3sgte gearbox). With the extra weight of a 3sgte engine i couldn't imagine how horrid it must have been in the corners!
