  1. As i've recently learnt, almost all coilovers are labelled for track use, to cover themselves for one reason or another. these are easily as firm as d2's, which is certainly saying something....
  2. yeah thinking about it now mate if some tanabe coilovers came up i'd prob have em, if it meant to be able to drop it that little bit more then why not eh cant see anymore popping up anytime soon though so these will have to do for now, least it aint springs on standard shitty shocks, so they'll be more than ample for the time being. cheers for the kind words peeps
  3. wheel size is above mate. yeah i've had coilovers mate, used to drive coilover equipped imports daily (including drag/drift/track spec jobbies) so know how firm they can be, even still, these are very much on the harsh side for fixed shocks we'll see how they perform when i get to throw them around on roads i know well, hopefully tomorrow morning on the way to work, providing there aint much traffic
  4. i agree, it should be firm, i'm sure i'll get used to it. The wheels are 15's, and they aren't ultralites, they're the proper A-Tech/Final Speed jap versions, not the re-branded ultralite european versions got all the original Final Speed centre caps etc, they're original 'Erasers'. They're light yes, very light, and were an absolute steal price wise, although they aren't quite as light as my racing sparco's or enkei's (although they're both 14's)
  5. cheers guys also, tinman, your personal message inbox is full
  6. mate its rediculous how firm they are, street use MY ASS! the streets they mean must be brand new strip style streets, not the shitty pot hole ridden ones we get round here! i've got a few sets of wheels though so might put the 14's on (with the bigger tyres) and see if it makes a difference at all, but im still expecting them to be brutal. its great fun, i've fallen back in love with the looks of it again now, it looks like how it should've come in the first place!
  7. they're very common enkei's mate, pop up on ebay from time to time or keep your eye on the forums (here and tgtt), im sure someone will be selling some soon
  8. fucking putfile. i'll put em up elsewhere, cheers
  9. Finally got my hands on some suspension, at bloody last, so gave it a quick clean today and here are the results. by the way, the suspension is tanabe sustec shocks with (what i believe to be) pi springs, they're fensport sourced springs anyway, but whatever they are they sit perfectly, completely transform the car. the shocks are absolutely brutal, bloody rock solid, but thats part of the fun eh These next pics are from before the clean, 4 months worth of dirt and shit, but its on the flat ground at least.....(these pics were taken just after i fitted the shocks so they hadn't com
  10. yes neil (of CID) put those wheels on all of em because they got em for pretty much sod all, unfortunately they're completely anti-jdm and weigh an absolute ton! I may have a few sets of uber-lightweight JDM rims for sale from time to time, so gimme a shout if you're thinking of changing (usually 14's as they're far better, but you get the idea ).
  11. shouldnt really be rubbing somehow unless the wheels are the wrong size/offset etc. mine's now on the deck and with chunky 15x6.5JJ wheels (with a perfect offset) they dont even come close to rubbing, they sit up in the arches perfectly
  12. they have a double din because its japanese, most imports have double din stero spaces, its rare for them to have single din over there! you can get a pocket to sit in the lower din gap (or above, whichever you want) and install as single din unit as you would usually (providing you have the mounting cage, can be sourced from anywhere) or go for the 52mm x 3 guage holders, if you're that way inclined (i've had them previously ).
  13. 24? jeeesus, makes me feel like a fetus! happy birthday guys
  14. shelly, they're the same as my old wheels if you remember rightly, in fact that car was the one at CID which came in from japan with mine, hence why they were similar (i.e moon buggies with shit fox wheels which were put on ) I looked em both over at the docks/sva centre but chose mine (due to the added extras). I've seen you about mate, once or twice on winterstoke road etc. im sure you'll make it to some of the tatsu meets and such so i'll catch up with you later.
  15. anywhere that sells alloys mate.
  16. uber lightweight 14" slags get my vote. preferably scuffed and badly painted too.
  17. piggyback is the easiest way mate, little more expensive but there's no messing about really, bang it in, get it tuned on dyno and you're good to go.
  18. jam parts? give them to me.
  19. yeah bit of a nightmare if you dont know what you're doing but as far as replacement uprated shocks go, they aint bad at all considering the price. i've finally got my hands on some suspension today though, Tanabe Sustec Street Spec shocks with pi/fensport springs, so should make fun for fitting on the weekend. the shocks are complete whores, been on about 4 different cars in a few years, shows the quality though as they're still going strong bingo!
  20. you'll struggle for 1bar on the stock management mate because you'll hit fuel cut at just over 0.9bar i knew it was gonna take hold mate, it always does! good luck. (let me know if you have any stuff coming over for it, then if i need any bits too it'll save on postage etc )
  21. think more £2500....
  22. yeah, fcd would be fine if you wanna run lean and blow a few pistons
  23. err no mate, they're just random coilovers (i.e non car specific) with the different fitments made to fit different cars, they just adapt the mounts to fit on civics, skylines etc, the coilovers etc are all exactly the same (not tried and tested on a particular car, unlike teins etc). i believe they're an american company originally, distributed by impulse in the uk. the coilovers are made in the same factory as g-force etc (probably some others), they're all the same coilovers basically just rebranded.
  24. http://www.funkystyling.co.uk/item_detail....rodID=449002706 there you go mate by the way, suspension is interchangable between ep91's, ep82's and even back to ep71's, so whether or not its for something else wont matter, it'll still fit.
