yeah thats about right mate.
-
you didnt do any research yourself first by searching and getting loads of different opinions? jeeesus, someone likes following the crowd
-
i prefer the standard look as far as lights are concerned, certainly on black glanza's anyway, the later spec lights just look silly on them, they stand out FAR too much. Look nicer on the silver/white ones but even then they're just a bit too much like lexarse lights aint they...
-
yes they do, fensport have em. personally i dont like em, look a bit '3D' if you know what i mean, a bit too much light bloody lexarse lights, but on the 98/99's they come on they look purposeful
-
i've spent time looking at it for a while so i understand it now mate. what is it you're after? send me a pm
-
thats the one, couldnt think of the words for it, i was a bit excited used to do it lots in tegs/ctr's/starlets at my old work, but mainly proper 4wd/rwd drifting so did that far more than the lift off oversteer technique, and as my starbo has been a moon buggy for so long it aint been capable of doing it, but now it is, and it does it very very well, and is rediculously controllable! great fun
-
ah right fair play mate, there's some type flex's on there atm, could prob get em for around 500 quid i think, aint looked for a while.. ah well eh! you do have to be patient, i waited bloody 8 months but it paid off eventually
-
good lad, didnt buy em brand new did you? can get em from the auctions for around 400 quid, need to wait a while but its half what you pay full price, and is as good as good work mate, get pics when she's slammed.
-
yeah i hear that, can anyone say understeer? had a bit of that tonight (well, alot, because the front end is so firm) but a bit of handbrake action sorts that out, gives a bit of FWD 4 wheel drifting, bloody entertaining that is cheers mate, see you soon.

My Troublesome Turbocharged Terror

good work mate, get it slammed though, feels like a different car when they're slammed (with decent shocks ofcourse ) had fun with massive understeer/4 wheel power slides earlier, was so much fun, but as its so low its actually controllable now great fun need more boost though, so good work with the fmic, im not sure whether i can be bothered to swap from my ARC to a fmic, as im not sure what turbo i wanna use -
yeah best idea is to buy a boost gauge mate, or just borrow one to set it up mate, can get em for next to nothing anyway and will take 5 minutes to set up!
-
hahaha, well you'll need to do alot of reading before anything happens (considering you didnt even know the engine code ), but luckily between here and tgtt you'll be able to learn anything you could possibly want to know, by simply hitting the search button
-
certainly work on suspension/braking before you even consider a different turbo kit mate, plus you'll need management etc which will probably run you a minimum of around £300-400 (for an emanage, not including tuning, a PowerFC would be several hundred quid more than that). can't just bolt it on and expect it to fuel fine So yeah, get suspension and braking/chassis sorted and then when/if you need more power than the ct9 can supply (say, around 1bar or around 170bhp, give or take) you can slap a meaty turbo on it.
-
no probs tinman, go to the top right of the forum and you'll see 'x new messages' where you'll be able to go in and delete messages etc. Cheers andy, although now this thing is like a chuffing go kart, its astounding what transformation its made, also, none of this power loss through 4x4 transmission or any of that junk hahaha i can insure something larger but gonna stick with it for a year mate, found someone who'll quote me on an evo, but i need the good fuel economy for now ;) by the way, dave's prob getting an rx7....bahahaha Should be a ringroadrice soon mate, we'll give you a tinkle whe
-
yeah i meant that the standard top mount is shit and doesnt cool very well at all.
-
hahahaha yes ofcourse mate, but if you were to compare it with the same dryer to your standard top mount you'd be able to tell the difference, it'd be the same as the turbo at the same boost pressure as when you had the top mount, wouldnt be no difference except the longer pipework. obviously if we're comparing different hairdryers, but we arent, its just a very simple basic test which shouldnt need explaining
-
eh? we had a little meet the other day, nothing huge though, regularly go to tatsu meets and such, but didnt think there was a big bristol one arranged anytime soon. i was meaning more of a national thing, so we can stick our little jap bitches next to each other, whilst playing MJ's 'Black or White'..... DUN DUN DUN DUN, DUN DUN! OWWWWWWWW!
-
it does sorta defeat the purpose, although they are very light if they're true full carbon hoods, which is a good reason for getting one, although you are able to paint it no problems though if needs be.
-
oh for sure, they're sexier than i am, which is saying something..... any events coming up at all? would be cool to get it out and about
-
great minds eh damage
-
well the hairdryer test is pretty much what you found out yourself, aim a hairdryer down one end and see how long it takes for the air coming out to get warm, takes bout 10 seconds on the standard top mount apparently.
-
its a big system mate, a few people have documented changing/servicing it on tgtt which you'll be able to look at when its back up, but its certainly not an easy job...
-
no mate they're 50 profile yoko dna gp's on 15" wheels, perfect match. had 45 profile on my 16's and that was a little firm, not as much give in the tyres, but i'm gonna try one of my set of 14's out as they both have 60 profile.
-
whats the core like inside that thing? did you try the hair dryer test on it? i was going to purchase one of daves mani's but they look a little rough on the inside, although that may have been a bad pic, i'll see if i can chase down a better pic because i was interested in getting one myself. nice work mate, it is bloody large though!!!
-
seen this a few times and it sounds like the heater matrix might have gone, tis common on older gt's but dont see why it cant happen to ep91's etc.
