  2. went out in tom smith's recently forged td04 glanza at japfest yesterday. he could only take it to 4000rpm because its only just been rebuilt.... but even up to there it was fucking brutal, felt like it was gonna take off if he let it! td04's are awesome. ive a feeling my ecu would fuel for a td04 so im very tempted...

  4. ye i think i need new tyres. as i said mine spins just trying to pull away normally but with full throttle, let alone launching, so the need has never actually arose. i could buy a quaife lsd but its a little out of my price range. ;/
  5. it doesn't matter, however i do it, i get spin. if i accelerate slowly, then nail it, as soon as the boost comes on, the offside wheel lights up, no matter what you do. im playing about with gradually bringing in the power, but you obviously lose time not planting your foot in first. just comes on so strong and so surprisingly that it rips up the tarmac, as SOON as it spools. annoying, buy hey!

  8. well, i've already been offered £450 for mine. I know of a jam ecu which is up for sale at the moment but i've a feeling its gonna go for close to that too, if not more. braking wise, ye i need mine sorted also, fades far too easily. abs is on all the chuffing time !
  9. have you tried punching her in the ovaries? usually works for me. Also, if you want loud, you should try my old system. Hit 143dB @ 12.6v, would've hit FAR more at 14.4v.... ....that was one 12". i still have the ported enclosure actually, i may stick it up here for someone to actually make use of it.

  13. £131 later for a new window, and we're up and running :/ completely unecessary expense, but there we go, shit happens. bit of advice then guys, if you aint got anything in your glovebox/boot, then leave glovebox open and rear seats folded forward so any thieving scum can actually see there's nothing in there to take. unfortunately mine and many others look like they'd have expensive stuff like audio etc inside, so people just try their luck these days! safe driving guys.

  15. the full exhaust is the first thing you wanna sort, just a backbox on the stock system wont do shit. you wanna aim for 2.5" bore all the way through if you can, coupled with a decat as mentioned above. a mani would be a good bet also, wepr/roadrunner/jam etc, but with those three you'll prob be very close to fuel cut then (i'm just under fuel cut now with only exhaust, standard cat and standard mani) which is when you wanna look into managemen/fuelling mods. an aftermarket ecu like a blitz or a jam will remove fuel cut altogether, not just raise it, they will also remove all the other limiters
  16. get some better amplified components/decent coax's up front and you wont need to. you dont go to a concert and face the other way now do you ;) thus, you want the majority of the music (treble) coming from in front of you, for best sound stage and sound quality. Hence, the better speakers you can have up front will work wonders for clarity. It doesn't matter for bass as its non-directional, but with treble and such its important to have it coming from in front of you. i have jdm pods on my shelf but i have it biased to the front so that it doesn't sound like its coming from behind you, it soun
  17. it wont affect the engine at all, but theoretically it'll waste the turbo quite quickly, or at least put excess strain on it. ;)
  18. you do know that the rhx6 is absoluely massive for the 4e? you'd prob get full boost at about 6000rpm, then run out of revs long before the turbo's run out of puff.... VTRick has a TD06 kit which he sourced from the auctions, but even thats gonna be a laggy bitch, the rhx6 jobbies are a step up again, basically a completely insane barely usable turbo, which would blow a standard engine to pieces, all good fun eh ;) Thats prob why the td04's are so popular, they make good power but are still rather usable lower down the power band as they arent too large.
  19. well, if your staying under fuel cut, its not particularly needed at all. it'll help keep things cooler yeah but the stock tmic or an arc tmic is fine at around 0.8/0.9bar (where fuel cut occurs).
  20. well i agree to some extent, but i was learnt and passed in 3 months, admittedly only after passing your test is when you actually learn to drive (because you're being taught to pass a test, not to actually drive so to speak) hence why most accidents happen very shortly after passing the tests. its a good concept but not really practical in some instances, but i agree that more road experience should be enforced (none of this stupid bloody 'crash course' waste of shite, how are people supposed to gain road experience that way?)

Unlucky mate, i had my window put through and car ransacked at college today. nothing in it to steal but they had a good look through it anyway, and thats money for a window i've gotta fork out for that i didnt really want to / budget for etc. pain in the ass but there you go, im not too down about it because least you're in good health eh!
