Getting a good shine out of a white car???
ecksjay replied to stan_the_man's topic in Exterior Design
ye i just end up not bothering, it dont make much different when you do it because it'll look the same once washed down, so i let it build up usually. unfortunately it usually coincides with the meets so its like i dont have the opportunity to clean it before the meet, so it always looks minging at them, but the day after when it gets a clean its sparkling. thats just the way of the world unfortunately. its gonna be a wet winter too so aint gonna put much more effort in -
oh yeah multipla's look like shit, but they're awesomly wierd. i'd have one just to offend people's eyes

never said i worked at cid, and never 'stole', just had a bloody good look through looks good mate, the vent looks much better with the jdm rims as mentioned above. Not too sure on the orange indicator bulb, i dont mind it personally, but i guess it would neaten it up a little, although it wouldnt bother me much to be honest. them silver bulbs are cheap as chips though if you wanted em. that a laguna splitter is it?

Getting a good shine out of a white car???

nah i dont have the time to do it often shaun, its rarely clean, its quite dis-heartening to even try because one day later its absolutely filthy again from driving down the a38, agricultural areas dont have the best of effects on clean cars sorta puts a downer on it, and you just give up in the end! even if you try, it just gets filthy again looks alright when you sponge it down anyway its just a pain in the ass when it lasts for 2 days at the most. -

are you seriously trying to preach to me mate? baaahahahaha. i know how to wash a car, i just dont have anywhere near the amount of time to do so, or most importantly, the inclination. When i say what i find in the cupboard, i mean, either one or two variations of wash/wax combo's, like turtlewax jobbies etc. When it runs out i buy a new one, and leave it in the cupboard, i dont actually just grab and use WHATEVER i find, its not like i clean the car with bleach, or mr.sheen or some shit, i use stuff which is designed for the cleaning purpose, i just aint got the time to wax or any of that shi -
yeah pretty much, as are stupidly big wheels, over the top 'phat' bodykits, and stupid lexus lights etc Its not needed as they shouldnt rub anyway, but it is down to personal preference, just not something i'd do, sorta against my JDM grain.

yes 16's will fit without scrubbing, although they are a little on the heavy side, unless you were to find some uber money split rims etc.

SLAG!!! by the way, slag = good.

dont make me felch you. also, its an arch rolling machine they use to pull em out. its basically an arm/metal bar which turns through 180° and its slowly used to roll the arch liner flat, then once thats completed they will carry on and slowly pull the arch itself out. basically just bends it ever so slightly, but in the same way i presume you were asking. it wont flare it like a mad cunt but it'll give it that slightly wider appearance i guess. a red glanza at the original pod meet in may had it done i think.

i've seen the pics and videos, you filthy young man.
-
good lad, give me a shout with what you want and i'll see what i can find. only reason i dont like the bigger wheels is because, well, firstly they look a bit silly on such a small car and secondly, the weight. my 14's are so rediculously light, made such a difference to the performance. seriously.
-
that wasnt my original plan, but ironically it worked out that way. just trying to get the word out about jdm wheels, basically if there's a big enough demand i'll start bringing loads in, just seeing how these first few sets sell first.
-
take a look in the for sale section, see my ad, or just let me know what you want
-
THATS NO EXCUSE, BEG AND STEAL FOR THEM. YOU MUST.
-
i dont know how to roll arches? well, considering my cousin has a man which does it for a living, i'm pretty sure i know how its done. Its the same principal as rolling them, they just continue with it and pull the arches out after, gives that slightly flared look. please find an example of where i've 'blagged' before though, because the term 'usual' would indicate it happens alot, so please, prove me wrong, well except for the fact that i just answered your question....
-
please, i'm very doubt i'll even notice it, i mean, if i can take 4 at once then one measly little maggot aint gonna cause me much hassle now is it
-
EVERYONE.
-
i know how its done yea, im just wondering why. providing the wheels are the correct offset it shouldnt scrub at all, ever, unless its literally sat belly to the floor
-
oh i've not got a problem with jdm body styling, its the word 'phat' which warrants the 'chav alert' maaaate, dat kit is sooo phat man, werd, bling bling, one time homie. also, shaun, standard factory fitted bodystyling is a slightly different scenario, bit different to just sticking on OTT shit for the sake of it. you should know about seeing the rear mid wing of mine, after i shat all over both your mates glanza's last night, whilst me and andy fucked off and left you two to play together mwahaha Fear the beatles haircut. or lack of. when you're as busy as I, its much easier to let it g

you need jdm rims ;]
-
2.5 will be more than enough mate, 3 will only be needed (MAYBE) if you were pushing well beyond 300bhp, and even then it may be too big...

wash and wax, whatever i find in the cupboard, and a sponge. thats as far as i go -
as standard, the punto prob has the edge (providing it doesn't explode or anything), but with slight mods the glanza will be leagues ahead, because mod for mod you'll get more power and be able to take it alot farther on stock internals than the punto.
