  6. thanks mate, i used to have a greddy boost gauge? but i sold it to fishy89... i've got a lamco 43mm one now. i also think next on the list will be to refurb the enkei's and get some decent tires on them, then i'll be refurbing the black racings in a new secret colour scheme... its either gonna be quite subtle, or stupidly in your face, i cant decide which!
  7. ok, i'll have a look tomorrow for ya... im still not 100% sure what im looking for as i know theres a ton of wiring under that dash!
  8. or to fit an xe engine... altho fair play for going for originality there.
  9. jesus rick! i thought you sold this wee beasty ages ago! nice to have you back buddy.
  10. cheers guys, the first stage of the plan is to get it on the road! it needs 4 new tires (probably looking at getting a different set of wheels) front shock absorber, and the downpipe and cat replacing, after that i think he just wants to get it tidy'd up, i think we might be fitting a momo steering wheel on monday... but we'll see.
  11. thanks guys. rob: yeah, it'll be good to see the difference now. i still think the gt will be quicker tho. geo:well next performance wise will be a front mount or maybe a different decat... after that hopefully will be a fcc and a rrfpr, and then maybe i'll push the boost up to .8-.9bar. thing is i still want it to be reliable, so i sont wanna push it too far.
  12. cheers buddy. lol when it warmer i promise i will si!
  13. i must admit i had a look in there to see how the downpipe fits... and it does look fooking tight. we think it has had a knock on the front end at some point, because the front bumper is not dead smooth and does look a slightly different shade. but i think he wants to get a good proportion of it resprayed.
  14. well after years of dicking around with vauxhalls my best mate finally saw the light and bought himself a jap car, and best of all its made by toyota! its a k reg toyota mr2 2.0 gti16 t-bar. it was previously owned by someone who owned horses so the interior was pure filth. it was an absolute steal for the price he paid for it! yesterday after fitting my actuator i went round and spent the best part of 4 hours cleaning it. its got a few rough patches, but underneath it all i think its a great little car. really nice colour too. the bad bits washed, paint renovator'd and w
  15. hks actuator update i bought a unused hks actuator off fishy on sunday, and went about fitting it yesterday morning. was a bit of a mission but nothing too intense, but the efi pipe had to come off which was tricky, and then it wouldnt clear the new actuator.. but i did the whole job in just over an hour which was nice. i initially set it to .8bar, but once i fitted it it was suffering for very slight boost creep in 4th and 5th and brought the engine management light on as it peaked at .9bar. so i had to adjust it (which i could do on the car thankfully) down to .7-.75bar which is perfect a
  16. without soundeing like a tosser, you havent accidentally turned on low boost have you? it happens!
  17. there will be mess everywhere when i see this...
  18. im happy to have a look for you buddy, but ive no idea where this connector is for me to have a look? tell me where to look and i take some good piccys for ya
  19. yeah, ive been really impressed with the increase in bottom end torque, and it feels loads more torquey imbetween gear changes as you said eks. my question is, can you get the fte to chatter with the stock airbox on? (i.e. removing the bov completely) as i know you prefered the airbox too (like me).
  20. i have that same squeak from the bonnet, i think its the rubber seal that runs across the scuttle panel...but i cant be arsed to fix it!
