no worries phillitron.

yes phil mate, i use a gloss white basecoat, this really brings the colour out with only one coat of the colour you want, instead of doing 3-4 coats to get the colour right you can do it with 1-2 coats, plus it give a much glossier finish at the end. depends on what colour your using tho. i just use white constantly, as it makes the paint alot brighter.

Which front bumper do I get for the trackstar?

i'd have the livesports one. but if im honest i really like the one you've got on it! -
welcome to the club buddy. its funny you should say that youre a long time reader of this forum, as im a long time reader of the austarletclub! and once again i look at pictures of aus spec starlets and wish the weather was that good here! nice to have you aboard looking forward to some updates mate.

i told you they were fricking bright! i could see you coming a mile off down the a1 yesterday! dude, if i ever get my rear bench re timmed you can have the covers for them... then you just gotta look out for the dark plastics. maybe keep an eyeout for someone who stripping out a 98, try tgtt?
-
yes but, si, greddy = dirty great hole in bank balance plus you know what im like for spending money! nope. basic grey primer. if you prep the surface well you wont need any special primers. and i dont use plastic primer either... its just a waste of time. basic grey primer is what i use for all my spraying. my old n/a is still running around with its painted cam cover, fuel rail and inlet manifold and thats not started coming off yet, and i sprayed that the same way! cheers geo. glad you like it!
-
cheers mate... if you got stuck bud, just give us a shout. i'll do (almost) anything for cash! you know that! cheers mate. it was just basic spray cans mate. primer, basecoat, paint and laquer. Rich.

how dare you simon! you hurt my feelings nice one idrees, i'd have some if i could find a nice set cheap in 14's!
-
cheers buddy. i wasnt sure about the colour last week, but im convinced now, hence the other bits getting a lick of paint! tell me about it sparky! i really need one and want one, but ive got a holiday to pay for and i want to get a few other bits before a fmic, plus i want to keep my front crash bar, so i need to consider carefully what kit i want to go for... lol no worries mate, go ahead! i thought it might look pretty good along side the cam cover... i really want to do the cam belt cover too, but i cant get the bastard off, the pas pipes wont move out of the way enough! nice one

ok guys, calm down, i have some piccys attached to this post at the bottom. that sounds awesome mate, ive never heard of that before?? keep me informed! defo interested if you can source some buddy! heres some pics of the last weeks developments! some of the keen eyed ones of you would have probably noticed that my greddy type rs copy has been removed and i fancied a silent recirc for a while, she pulls like a steam train now, much more torquey! Rich.
-
indeed, theyre the same size. the 5efhe intake mani and throttle body are the 4efte ones too.
-
well im pretty sure mine wasnt leaking... as i had a hks fitted before and that was leaking and the bov i had on it before felt much better than that! i think i'll stick with my recirc, the noise was starting to get on my wick anyway!
-
i re-fitted my standard recirc bov the on monday as i'd tightened up my greddy type rs copy and it seemed to perform a bit better, since fitting the recirc ive noticed the engine being alot more 'torquey' and seems to pull very well from low revs right up to 7k... so im just wondering what the pro's and cons are of a recirc vs a atmospheric bov?
-
cheers buddy. so far it seems good, ive changed the thermostat last week and it seems to perform a whole lot better with the mani... it'll be better when im running more boost as its at .6bar for now. i'll have to get a hks actuator then.... difficult to fit? the cam cover colour has grown on me too, so much so that i've sprayed a few other bits too. wheres an update on your motor anyway craig!?? Rich.

i borrowed robs idea and got some fto ones and i must say theyre perfect!
