just thought i'd follow the trend and do a spec list for the motor and comment on my main focus for the V. SPEC body 1998 (s reg) glanza v black scoop uprated bulbs factory toyota numberplate surrounds rewired rear fog light (21w filament of the bottom sidelights) chassis tanbe sustec shocks and springs (not very low but great for handling and reasonable ride comfort) lightweight black racing 14" alloy wheels, red center polished lip (for summer) enkei 14" white alloy wheels (for winter) <------------------- any one know exactly what style they are? rays lightweight wheel nuts standard front disc's and pads (for now) with standard rear disc's and pads interior mitsubishi fto front seats factory arm rest pioneer deh 7700 r head unit alpine front speakers with tweeters alpine 16.5cm speakers in custom door pods alpine rear 'pod' speakers alpine swd1600 6"subwoofer lamco 43mm boost guage engine standard intake with cut away under bonnet weather strip for extra cooling to airbox (k&n panel filter waiting to be fitted) apexi backbox fitted to custom stainless steel straight through 2 1/4" exhaust system stainless steel separated decat ngk plugs ngk blue leads road runner mild steel manifold (waiting to be fitted) manual boost controller running .75-.8 bar de-restricted boost modification type rs (greddy copy) bov new standard spec clutch new dizzy cap new rotor arm new alternator belt my main focus for the V is to have a quick road car that you can live with as a daily driver. no stripped out interiors, no stupidly hard suspension. just a well handling quick fun road car. i havent decided on the final power outcome as i'd rather have good torque all through the rev range, plus im undecided on exactly what i want from the engine. ie, less lag? better bottom end torque? better top end power? my main focus is i want it to be reliable, so i dont really want to be pushing the limits of the standard engine too far. after looking at it i havent actually done that much! anyone who has any recommendations for parts to improve my spec feel free to let me know. ;) Rich.
