LED's are diodes, they only work one way. My bro was changing his for LED's and he put a couple in the wrong way and they never worked. Just thought it was a simple suggestion that you might have overlooked mate.

In the engine bay there is a fuse/diagnostics box. Under the lid you'll see a diagram of the terminals. Bridge TE1 & E1 with an old bit of wire or paperclip or something. Then look at your dash, the engine management light should be flashing. There will be X flashes then a small pause then another Y flashes. Then a bigger pause and it should repeat (or give a dif set of flashes if there is more than 1 error) Ie. *FLASH*FLASH*FLASH*FLASH*FLASH* *pause* *FLASH*FLASH* *pause* *pause* *FLASH*FLASH*FLASH*FLASH*FLASH* *pause* *FLASH*FLASH* And that would be your knock sensor (52)

Hmmm, I sounded a bit "pro-shit mod" in that post. They are cheap pieces of crap. I might actually buy one and take it to bits... but they'll have epoxied the resistor to the board so nobody can see their "secrets" DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

How do you think it "alters" the ECU? It's a resistor that slightly changes the voltage from the sensor, badda bing badda boom... instant power! The power mod is only £4.95 by the way, it's the variable power mod that's £29.95 (which will be a variable resistor... they cost slightly more from maplin :angry: )

Just look for them on Ebay or a local car shop. They're all the same usually, might need to do a bit of splicing, but nothing serious.

How long did you have the battery terminal off for? I have this funny feeling one of my mates has had a similar problem. It's got to do with the ECU resetting or something to that effect... I'll ask the Toyota encyclopaedia when I see him.

I like it, but would be better if it were all one colour.

I think it's the colour that makes me dislike them. I did a quick chop, and they look much better in white in my opinion.
