Grip = soft compound = short life/tyre I've heard good things about the Nankang NS1's - Nankangs are notorious for being like lumps of coal to drive on but the NS1's are their top of the range sport tyre and are meant to last for ages. Either that or the Hankook Ventus Sport's (think that's what they're called) are meant to be good.
"Winter wheels" are a cheap nasty pair of wheels so you don't have to subject your good summer wheels to the harsh weather ( & salt ) and eventual corrosion that comes with the winter.
Look at this pathetic attempt from the saudi's at a 1/4 mile event! S2K Forum I'm only kidding... look at some of those cars!!! ohh my god!!! Just keep scrolling down. I'm gonna buy me some barrels of oil and become a rich tycoon some day.
You could buy them for £110 and sell them to someone stupid on ebay for £300 (still an ok price for brand new wheels) Kerching! you're up £140 (obvioulsy minus shipping from scutch - the stooopid ebayers can pay for there own shipping)
The reason peoplestick to smaller wheels is the rolling radius and not so much weight (although a lighter wheel will have a lower moment of inertia) for acceleration. Bigger wheels also put out your speedo. Check out this litle java applet my bro made to see the diiference your speedo will read.
*cough*cough* Geo... Had to point that out mate They must have the chimps out answering the e-mail again (what's that about a thousand monkeys for a thousand years?)
Yep Geo's right; if they're kind enough to send it as a gift it'll reduce the duties, but it devalues the package, so in the event of the item getting lost/damaged you can only claim for the "gift" value.
Wish I did mate! Two of my friends are going travelling on the pacific rim for a few months early next year; japan, malaysia, australia those kind of places. We're going to see if they'll sort us out with some bits in exchange for beer tokens.
My Bro orders of Apex Performance a lot (200sx tuner). He order's in the morning and it's here the next afternoon -- with lollipops in the box! Now that's service! Looks like it will light up mate, most do.
