Sorry to spam Matt, but any idea what is surrounding the base of the HT leads in the first pic? I know it's some type of waterproofing just wondering what it could be
Hmm might work, but I don't wanna have to take the old box off match up and flange then to see I'll need a reducer, then have to order it and do it all again. Anyone else?
Looks so much better! Just connect up the bottom sidelights Any pics with the new intercooler? A mate is buying a GT with a Blitz cooler and is gonna use the old piping, I assume it all fits nicely? The angled cores are just silly
Ah fair enough! Yeah I wanted something a bit lighter as an NA isn't the liveliest thing in the world anyway! Same here I tried driving with amped vibe 6x9s for a bit but couldn't hack not having that bass kick! Yep Version 2 has the yellow cone, I haven't heard a V1 but I heard a V2 10" last week and loved it! Wouldn't think twice about getting one, they're really light compared to most subs and I can't imagine you'd get a more powerful/better quality one for the used prices they go for!
I haven't been able to get under the car to check as it's raining at the moment! I'd have thought a 0.5" gap between the flange and pipe would be too much
My sub sold this morning, sorry man! I do however recommend you buy a Vibe CBR10 Version 2. If you like bass but don't want a lot of weight, they weigh only 16kg (compared to high 20s for the CBR12) and sound amazing! Barely, barely noticeablly quieter than my CBR12 (only 50rms less) and the CBR12 was excessive at that so this is perfect! A mate is picking the CBR10 I've bought on Monday for me
I've recently picked up a HKS back box for my NA, which currently has a custom cat-back system. The HKS is flanged (2.5"/63mm) but just below the flange there is a slight step down in the pipe to approx 2.25"/57mm. The current back box is clamped on, and I'm pretty sure the piping is 2.5" Am I right in thinking I'd need a 2.5" flange and gasket, and a reducer sleeve as pictured below to fit it to my system? I'm guessing a 2.5" flange cant just be welded on to my mid section as there is a gap in the piping size? How would the sleeve be fitted? By way of a clamp or welding it in? Is there a better or easier way of fitting the box? Thanks Amjad
Really wanna start watching this! Shows I rate are Person of Interest, Homeland, Walking Dead, Elementary (US version). I resent the fact that Terminator Chronicles was scrapped, loved that show! Best TV show EVER though is 24!
