Do you mean a pitlane pass? I believe with track time booked we can park in an area near the pits. As regards to Silverstone, I've never been so can't comment. But you'll still need an entrance ticket which is £18, and using the club password on their website will allow you to get a stand pass inclusive of that

For anyone who has a similar problem in the future, it was indeed the alternator. Changed over with another and it read 14v again

Got it out at last! lol Yeah tried out the bottom but it wouldn't go out at all. Had to remove the right side little black diagonal support beam to get it out. Dunno if OEM LSD box makes any difference with regards to room underneath

So I've got all the bolts off and alternator is sitting there loosely. How the hell do you take it out? I took off the bracket that holds it at the bottom and there's still no room. Doesn't look like there's any room at all on the top side. Help needed please, wanna get this bloody thing off so I can call it a day and start fitting the new one tomorrow Thanks Amjad

Nice one man Belt was there, didn't have a feel of it but looked normal Where would I be attaching the multimeter contacts to on the alternator? How long do you reckon I can drive the car? Wanted to drop it down to Grant who is about half hour away

So driving back from placement this evening, and I noticed that when I hit the brakes two lights came on the dash. This isn't my picture, but it was the battery light and the one to the right of it. So after I let off the brakes the lights stayed on and then went out after 4 seconds or so. Kept happening as I hit the brakes. Radio started going quiet so turned that and the heaters off. Then the lights stayed on almost consistently even when accelerating. Managed to nurse it home, literally as I pulled onto the drive the headlights went out LOL Grabbed my multimeter, it read 7v across the battery as car was running (lumpy at this point). Put the drivers window up and car died out! So what are we thinking, is my alternator shot? Is there anything else I can check? If it is my alternator, can I jump start it and drive to a garage? Or will hitting the brakes kill the battery before I get there :S Thanks Amjad
