  1. Any more info on that? I didn't wanna go swapping them myself in case of a short circuit
  2. Any links to this compound stuff fellas? Only thing I'm worried about is it falling to pieces on track. Or am I just being paranoid?
  3. Upgraded aluminium civic rad (either dual/triple core) Does it need replacing? I can get a video, but it's literally the smallest leak in one of the bars (ie between 2 columns of fins) at the back Should I get it welded? Is "Radweld" etc a no-no? Thanks Amjad
  4. Get well soon dude, sorry to hear what happened
  5. Thanks Matt, ordering now!
  6. PM'ed, if anyone else has one please let me know
  7. As above, for EP82 if it makes any difference. Thanks Amjad
  8. Drove like a dog! lol Basically a few months ago I lowered it the shortcut way, not realising I'd changed preload so much. So I'll be loosening it off and setting it to how it was when I bought the coilovers
  9. *Update* Another update after a long interval, but guess it doesn't matter as the thread looks like a ghost town anyway So starting from where I left off, here's a pic of the seals I got from Iddy & co Also put in some standard copper NGK plugs while I was there Soon after, the car decided to throw a little tantrum and a few oil seals and parts that were contaminated needed replacing. So ordered the following parts and sent the car up to Grant who did a sterling job as usual! Seals, distributor, rotor arm were Toyota items and others Blueprint -Camshaft oil seal -Dizzy oil seal -All AUX belts -Timing belt kit -Distributor -Rotor arm -Oil cooler piping and Mocal Thermostat for core to be finally hooked up -One ball joint that was cracking -Both outer CV boots This was the state of the dizzy/rotor I also asked him to investigate the knocks I was getting on hard turns, which turned out to be the ALK rubbing against my 24mm FARB. It's now been sorted with some manipulation and the addition of some spacers, but you can see the areas it was catching here... Now sorted with spacers to match the ALK and longer bolts Grant also noticed that the arch bush on the driver side of the FARB was worn, so I've ordered a set of Superpro replacements from Iddy Got the car back and as you can imagine drove a million times better! Getting much better economy and it actually has some give low down. Ordered a set of BC C-spanners as the Meister ones are pants and bent easily. Gonna be adjusting my preload settings as the car isn't riding how it should do. Noticed my brakes weren't quite biting as well as they used to even after swapping out fluid (which helped massively, but still). And here's what I found on inspection of the pads I ran on track when the fluid boiled, compared to some spare pads I had in the garage (spares are the ones with the groove). Swapped the spare pads in and they improved things a lot. However due to the oil leaks I had I believe these may have been contaminated too (I'll mention their replacements later) I've been using the car a bit more this year, especially on longer journeys so the noise was doing my head in. Fitted my silencer back in and though I miss the really loud cracks and bangs, I'm glad it's back in. Really wanna complete my RW-Developments system with a nice angled back box though As some of you know, I've changed up my tyres (2 of them at least) to Nankang NS-2Rs in the street compound (180). Really impressed by these, I only had them on the front for a day or two and swapped them to the back because I want to use up the remaining pair of Rainsports first and car will need an alignment after preload adjustment anyways. But initial impressions: -Grip is excellent -Sidewall is so stiff! Doesn't feel like it wants to fall over on to the sidewall in corners -Steering feel is way better -Front end felt way pointier and direct For the money I think they are the best choice you can currently get! It was my Birthday a few weeks ago, and I got these So next outing I'll have a full set of proper tyres and pads Almost done now, had Grant inspect the car and noted a few things: -Rad pipe weeping -Gearbox side mount very worn -Gearbox mount cracking So I'll be ordering a pair of front JD tuning poly mounts and a rear Polyflex mount to replace that lot. I leave you with some pics of I took a short while ago! Amjad
  10. Indicators were CREE I even thought of fitting normal 382 bulb holders inside but the housing is part metal. What I'd really want though is for full retrofit led tails with big strips to replace all the bulbs. Seen loads in America but yet to find someone in the UK that does it
  11. I've been having trouble finding bulbs for the rear too! CREE are the ones to go for but like you said they don't work properly. Either go straight to brake function without lighting up as a tail, or don't turn on at all! I've done indicators though, type in EP82 led conversion on youtube
  12. Big thank you for the help peeps! I think it was the ARB after all! I'll post up some pics later but it was essentially the ALK pushing the wishbone down onto the 24mm ARB! Thankfully sorted now thanks to Grant
  13. You'll notice the step up straight away! I went for the 180, chased up lots of feedback on them and they were the ones that were recommended more
  14. These'll suit the car a lot better man! What tyres you going for?
  15. Cool cool! I was wondering what happened to that back box. Looking to get one for mine done at long last. Any idea what the dB measurements are? Looking to do a track day with a 87dB driveby but 98dB static. I know it'll be fine with my silenced RW system to Japspeed box but not sure what a RW box will do..
  16. I believe there's still some track time available for the session a few of us booked (12pm). Motivation
  17. Likewise, £200 for a set of stiff grippy tyres is a great deal! Thanks for the advice! Jay I'm sure you'll like the ones you've mentioned, bang for buck the Nankang are hard to beat
  18. Ah great you run them too! The tyres are new to me so I haven't used them on track. Pressures I mentioned earlier were for rainsports (very soft) I wonder having rear camber would make any difference with regards to what pressure is best to run
  19. Quality! What difference did that poly mount make by the way? Discovered my gbox side mount is dying, thought I may as well replace all 3
  20. https://www.heavyset.co.uk/shop/silicone-hose-kits/toyota-starlet-gt-turbo-ep82-7-piece-silicone-hose-kit/ Has anyone used these? Amjad
  21. Coming along nicely, that shifter is awesome! I want one in pink
  22. You bought Justin's car, nice! What happened to the gt I saw a pic of? Can't keep up with your cars haha
  23. Looking good man, what time did you book for track?
