  1. Nice GT you got there, I really like the wheels! Oh, and welcome to UKSC
  2. Amjad

    Wey Heyyyy!

Well done buddy, best of luck!
  3. Nice updates as usual! The Whiteline ALK is a really good bit of kit Steve said you refurbed his wheels right? I just wanted to ask how you did the rim? I've got corrosion on some parts of my rim's lacquer. I|f I only refurb the parts that are corroded I reckon there'll be an uneven shine, but if I strip the lacquer off the whole rim and polish it back up it'll look even? Do you know if I can use anything to help me strip off the lacquer more quickly than just using wet & dry/steel wool? Are thinners etc safe to use?
  4. Lol someone's borrowed my axle stands so it'll 1 by 1 for me too Yeah I might pop down there when the car's sprayed up
  5. Zac with the headlight restoration, have you had any condensation build up in them since?
  6. Damn I was hoping someone wouldn't say that I'll see if anyone else can shed any light on the matter before I give it a go tomorrow!
  7. What could I use to make stripping the lacquer quicker/easier, because it would take hours with Wet & Dry alone?
  8. Dunno yet, I don't really like touchscreen phones, but it'll definitely be a BlackBerry
  9. Sounds good, but I can't really see the side decals working on a Starlet
  10. 8900 Curve, upgrading in a few months time
  11. I'm lowered 40mm on 50 profile 15"s, but I don't think it's ever happened to me I think you can sort the problem by buying an adjustable panhard rod. I can't really explain it, but lowering the car makes the rear wheels pop out to one side, in your case the right wheel. I think mines the same but it hasn't rubbed
  12. I tried some 1200 Wet & Dry on one of the wheels, it's working but I'm gonna get some wire wool too which should make it easier! I took some of the corroded lacquer off by rubbing it down, but now you can tell where there IS lacquer and where there isn't. If I carry on and just polish up the parts which are corroded, I don't think the rest of the rim will be as shiny, so I'm thinking of stripping the lacquer off the whole rim and polishing it all up? What could I use to make stripping the lacquer quicker/easier, because it would take hours with Wet & Dry alone Oh and Anup, I'm thin
  13. My mate's JDM Accord sounds like that when it hits VTEC lmao it's nuts
  14. I thought they were 13? Anyway that's kind of irrelevant now, apparently insurance companies are using a new system where it goes up to 50!
  15. Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on how to refurbish a Chrome rim? I've been told to use 1200 Wet & Dry/Steel Wool/Autosol but I've got no idea in what order and what exactly to do 3 of my wheels have pretty bad lacquer corrosion, but it's not the whole way around the rim, here's a few pics to show you what I mean The spokes etc are fine as you can see, I just want to restore the rims to their former glory! I'd appreciate any help Thanks Amjad
  16. Focus RS Blue is nice I'm loving the Focus RS Green though I reckon you'd have to have a pretty aggressive looking Glanza to pull it off though, JAM kitted or something!
  17. Eek! I don't want that happening! Yeah 3mm & 5mm sounds like a plan cheers Steve! I just went out to take a look at my wheels, I've got quite a deep hole, so plenty of thread on the studs poke out. Hopefully it should be fine! Thanks Chris
  18. No probs I keep wanting to buy some skirts but my money always goes elsewhere when they come up lol
  19. Thanks for the comments guys I appreciate it! I think they should be fine Sam! 4efe and 5efe rocker covers are interchangeable so I'm pretty sure the nuts & bolts would be the same I was gonna get the bolts from Toyota, but over time they'd corrode to the same state as the old ones, these are Stainless Steel so hopefully they'll stay shiny *NEWS* -I went to the bodyshop yesterday, the dude's chock-a-block this week fixing Porsches lol so the car's going in next Monday to get sprayed! (And possibly mopped too) -As soon as I get the car out of paint I'm booking it in for the Cat
  20. Sideskirts have been up for between £50 and £65 these days, they used to command higher prices. Rear bumpers are usually £60-£80 but seeing as you've just sprayed it I'd say stick it up for £100
  21. Lol no worries mate I just wanted to make sure! I don't think I'll get 10mm ones now, but thanks for the advice Um I think they're 7" wide, on the front they only need to come out about 3mm or so, but on the back they're kinda deep in the arch. 10mm would bring them right out to the edge, but I might just get 5mm! Thanks again everyone for the help
  22. Nissan Midnight Purple II or Toyota Red as found on the factory Glanzas would look sweet
