  1. The lacquer wont stick to the polished lip as the lacquer need a rough surface to grab too. My old wheels on my yaris had a poilished outer lip and then had been lacquer and it just peeled off. I would do the rest of the wheel first ie paint and lacquer and do the polishing of the lip last. Looking at the pic again looks tight between the spoke and the polished part, might be a struggle to get the paper in between them???
  2. Personally i would sand the outer lip of the rim back and then work my way up the grades of sandpaper. Say starting at 120 all the way thru to 2000 maybe 3000grit. Get that perfect polished lip.
  3. I could be wrong but i thought you have to have the postcode of where the plates are made at the bottom of the plate to be fully legal? Still very tidy mate, get some tyre dressing on tho!!!! Carl

  6. I am very tempted by one of these. Did you find the cars rear end a bit loose under braking before fitting these??? If so i might have to purchase one myself
  7. Evening all I have been battling the temptation of other cars in the market as sort of want something new to fiddle with, but have decided to continue with the v project. The rear end seems very loose under braking at the moment so going to check everything out when its warm again. And really want new wheels for the summer months. Its something that really annoys me about my v, the wheels are very pitted and so skinny for my liking. Thinking 15x7 maybe 15x7.5 but yet to find anything which flicks my switch. Was looking at sticking to the OEM look but cant deal with the 14s any more. Plus the g

  19. You have just hit the nail on the head. Was the handbrake situation. Its been freezing on so left it off last night went for a drive came home and it was still frozen so went to turn car off on timer(handbrake off) and it turned straight off. Thus its the hand brake. Cheers makes sense now
  20. When i had my yaris i looked into getting the s/c kit and it was about 2500 plus fitting plus you needed to get it mapped aswell. So the car for sale on here is a good deal i think. I am tempted too but think the V is gonna stay now after fitting my ecu.
  21. Since fitting my jam ecu my turbo timer has stopped working???Is there a wiring diagram on here somewhere, thinking a wire must be loose.?
  22. Been a member on there since it started. Good lot but you always have a group which stick together and then all sell up and leave. You thinking of getting that supercharged yaris leeroyv?
