That's strange my 98 spec glanza has a single wire o2 sensor?
same here....stock o2 sensor is single wire on the ep91
-
i'd suggest meshing it as well given the limited room you have and as the bare minimum safety precaution

I have the celica twin pots with Astra discs set up on my car, was already on car when I bought it, now the discs are now cracked and needing replaced , it seems a lot of hassle getting the Astra disc machined etc can't be bothered with that hassle , is there any 1 that I could just buy the discs from that's already machines for me ?
drop Russ78 a pm...he may be able to help

Why would you want to keep stock pistons?
The ringlands are shite. And forged pistons can come in any CR you want.
If the aim of it was to keep stock CR.
actually daniel_g, this is something i was interested in from years ago as well. I actually never had any problems with stock pistons (broken ringlands) in all my years. It was always the stock rods that had me a little skeptical in terms of revs and reliability at higher boost levels. Again, knock on wood, the stock thicker 4efte/5efhe rods worked great for me, but i was more concerned that a rod would give out than a piston. The stock units can work well once you have a very good tune....the tune is where it is at as the slightest detonation and your stock pistons will be destroyed at higher boost levels.
as well, forged pistons you are looking at may be US$500 for a decent set, while forged rods are may be US$250 for a set----depends on your budget and what you want from the car.

Let me know your opinions guys i like the tf035 atm running at 1 bar but im itchinh towards td04. Have all supporting mods but im running Jam ecu not emanage.
Main reason for debate is that i have a wepr td04 ramhorn kit coming from sacha in a few weeks and td04 has been on my mind for a while
stick with the tf035 ,,,upgrade to the 6cm back end if you dont already run it
from what you stated, this seems to be the better turbo for you.
-
youd want the 6cm tfo great top end
49135 04700 and upwards
i agree...this is worth a try before the td04 swap
-
figured by now someone would have made something...guess its the bigger 4efte/5efhe rods then for those seeking to keep stock pistons
-
Too right colin. As promised guys

thanks goldenvtr

I changed my original bulbs to night breakers and I thought they were a major improvement
Osram night breaker's are an epic swap, currently looking something for the GT
been seeing some comparisons on youtube between these (osram laser/breakers) and phillips (+130+150, diamond, etc),,,various bulbs
makes it kind of hard to decide lol
-
did you ever find any information on this combination 5e colin?
-
try id-workz or ebay

HID's are one of the best mods I did
do you find so Gainzy?...i was looking into getting HIDs last year and when i did research on here i kept getting that HIDs are no good with our headlamps?!?!
so i just try to keep the headlamps clean/polished to get out as much light as possible via the stock bulbs
but i agree, the stock lights could be brighter

what ecu is in the car?.....any diagnostic codes?
maybe someone with a stock ecu and wideband afr fitted can confirm what you are seeing
-
they go between the mount and bolt like morgey said
-
glad you got it sorted goldenvtr
can you post up a vid of how it sounds now?
do your forge pistons keep noise/slap on first start?.........does the noise/slap go away completely when to operating temperature or just lessen down?
asking as it seem some people say forged engines are kind of noisy

Hi,
I was looking at this:
Wondering if anyone has any experience.
A big of Googling says that Mamba aren't terrible, and that they actually were part of Kinugawa's before they split to form two companies.
Anyone got any thoughts?
based on one case i know of, i can say that the mambo turbo works quite well and very reasonably priced

O.20 intake and o.36 on the exhaust it says on mine
i checked my glanza this morning, it states exactly the same on my bonnet as you have 5e colin

1995 4efte ( ep82.gtt )
-
O.20 intake and o.36 on the exhaust it says on mine
thanks collin---that seem to be smack in the middle of the 5e manual specs
what engine was originally in your car?---just to make sure
-
Hey jus' to confirm the valve clearence is:
Exhaust 0.30 +/- 0.03mm
This is going by the 4EFTE manual.
So when shimming a 5E turbo motor, you use the 4EFTE clearence as more heat from turbo motor.
You want to be on the higher/ looser side, more so on the exhaust.
but isn't the 5e specs a little looser on the exhaust vs the 4efte specs???
the 5e manual says
VALVE CLEARANCE SPECIFICATIONS TABLE (1)Application In. (mm)Exhaust Valve .............. .012-.016 (.31-.41)
