  1. There's nothing that wil fit straight in, but pretty much anything will fit with a bit of welding. You can also get zep or bride subframes to suit most recaros (or bride's surprisingly) from toytuning. There's a nice set of seats from a dodge viper srt on ebay at the moment... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HIGHBACK-WING-RECARO...1QQcmdZViewItem
  2. Sound mate, definately will need to do that, won't be until july that I'm back like but at least the roads should be dry then!
  3. You've set it at 2?! Was that by guess work? The normal setting for a starlet is 8, 7 if your running a lot of mods or high boost. The fcd alters the pressure signal from the map sensor sent to the ecu so that it see's the boost as being lower than it actually is which means it will lean out the air fuel mixture more, if you get any boost creep you will run majorly lean and pretty much definately do some damage and you won't know this by looking at the temperature gauge. I would've first tried to find out why the car was juddering like you say it was, your just masking the problem fitting t
  4. Hmmm interesting, the way I did it (I have cusco coilies too) is just adjusted it so the spring was just held by the ring whilst it was jacked up for no preload on the springs, but i guess the proper way to do it for no preload is the way you've done it so the springs just rest on the rings after the car is lowered down. I might have to go and play with mine as I'd like them just a little less firm.
  5. Are you stil adjusting the coilovers at this point? If you put the car down with the adjusting rings in that position, ie not on the spring, then the springs won't do anything? Or do the adjusting rings come up to just meet the spring when the car is put down on the ground?
  6. The car is looking really good mate, the carribean colour really suits the glanza look. I really need to get a front splitter, the bumper looks poop without it.
  7. There's a guy on tgtt just fitted one of them he's pretty happy with it and the service from the seller. Its similar and design and layout to the GReddy one. http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/showthread.php?t=9434
  8. Stock boost on hi is 9psi not 10psi plus, any breathing mods you've done or have ie filter exhaust, will increase the boost. The stock actuator is crap at holding boost so changing to an hks one will give you more control over it, we're not telling you to run lower boost than stock. Whats the point in asking for advice if you're just going to do what you think is right, go fit your fcd and rebuild the engine for fun.
  9. Sounds good geo, I'd really like to see how it compares to mine, mine pulls best from 4.5k upto 6.5k, a less restrictive mani realy helps release the power up top, the stock one will give you a little less lag and better pull low down but the gains from a free-er flowing one up in the revs is so much better. I've never been keen on hybrids as they never seem to give that good figures, I'd want at least 220bhp and 200ftlbs yours certainly sounds good if it is making nice power at just 9psi, get it cranked up! PS I love the mess of your old turbo! I don't think mine was even that bad w
  10. Its real and its not the first, there's a couple that have been on tgtt.
  11. That is shit, but good things could come of it.... did you get her number? ;)
  12. The stock actuator arm does have a bend in it, get a pic of your engine bay so we can see if there's any form of boost control or anything which might cause the creep.
  13. Erm find one you like, go to the bank take out the required amount of money, give the money to the owner and then you become the new owner! Simple really. ;) The first step - finding one, you can do by looking through the cars for sale here, pistonheads, ebay etc
  14. To be honest I'm not entirely sure, but I think the only difference is the colour and that one says blitz and t'other says ogura!
  15. Slight facelift for my glanza today, so it was off with the old and on with the new; Old vs New (96/97 vs 98/99 spec) It should have been easy to fit as I've had the old bumper on and off plenty of times, but the new one sits slightly differently which meant the intercooler pipe, relocated filter and coling panel all made it a pain in the arse to get on properly. However I'm happy with it and it will look even better when I've cut the bars out the bumper and got a splitter for it. :B Next I'll be painting the sideskirts and rear bumper white just so it all matches nicely... Also ju
  16. I'd be interested but I'm not going to be able to buy it for like 4 months when I get back from my travels. I'll be buying loads of bits from mc chu then too.
  17. I'm sure the guy at ava was meant to be putting two 4efte's in a starlet, that was over a year ago I heard about that, so maybe it didn't happen in the end.
  18. ecks had them in his old glanza too, I want a pair. ;)
  19. Yeah its totally normal, the stock bov is a recirculating one and dumps into the air intake. Now that you've removed the stock air box you can hear it through the apexi intake.
  20. Damn, better not put the venoms on for the summer then. ;)
  21. I have tsw's on my glanza, does that mean its ruined? ;) \/
  22. True, I wasn't meaning it in a "lets bitch about rotas" way again, I meant that out of all the rota design's there's a style everyone will like.... especially since their all copies of proper jdm wheels!
  23. Nah you shouldn't get any lights come on, its just a crappy temp sensor to warn when the cat's cooked.
