  1. don't knwo to be honest but he didnt mod his injectors. Do they maybe come with bigger injectors than the starlet? Would think not cause the engine is exactly the same. it's a '95 model with the flat headlights fitted with a 75HP 4E-FE.
  2. Ok so a guy i know also got an corolla(bugeye) intake manifold for his Corolla 4E-FE. he got an corolla with the exact same engine as the starlet 4E-FE with 75hp at the flywheel. he also upgraded his ignition cables(magnecours) and got an open air intake. he did a dynorun and got a 87hp at the flywheel reading. that's an 12 HP increase. That's a nice increase i think So that should be a 12 HP gain on a Starlet with 4E-FE to. I thought maybe you guys would like to know that somebody did a dyno with the Corolla intake manifold to test the gains. Cheers, Kevin
  3. i got this idea from seeing that Red Yaris from starletno1fan. I thought that red dish looked sweet, so i gave it a try on my ride with yellow instead of red. I will be getting my car back next week from the repairshop. After that it will be very important to get the yellow shade good. I think metallic will look best for both the black and the yellow. hehe this will surely stand out at a meet probably have haters and lovers, but i like it
  4. thanks for the fast replies! and Riko you're so right we didn't expect that Idrees About the photoshop skills, i am available weekdays from 7 to 9 in the evening. I will try to do my part in de photoshop corner, so let the shoprequest come. ;)
  5. because all the damage to my car, the spare money isnt gonna be spend on new rims anymore. so i got a rather radical idea: or more subtle: the yellow is gonna be hard to find just the right shade, but i can have a few cans made to custom colour for a really nice price
  6. projector healdights?! they look like cumstoms... GREAT looking car
  7. that interior shots are great !! makes me wanna do that when i get my starlet back from repairs. Never really dared spraying that stuff yellow, but i must say i looks the dogs balls

engine conversions are alowwed but a extensive and expensive MOT has to be done after that. Some have done this already, some choose not to register it as a 4EFTE, but if anything ever goes wrong you can be in deep sh*t. the insurance company is also not gonna like it.. Also the costs involved are not minor. a mx3 would be a big step up and the engine is a beauty. For me the starlet has reached it's top potential within my budget and my goals. I made it look a lot smarter, go a bit faster and handle a lot better. Going any further would mean major investments and i would rather start out with a better basis. Once i would get an MX3 I probably would not do alot with it, but that's what i said about the starlet to.. The MX3 was produced from '92 till '98, i would like to get a reliable young one. would like one as "young"as my starlet.

Thanks for all the support guys! The insurance-case is gonna be a LONG LONG story i'm afraid. I first decided to pull it apart and sell all the parts, but my girlfriend convinced me to get it fixed. And together with some financial help of my parents (thanks mom and dad!! ) i am gonna get the starlet fixed. So she is gonna be restored in all her glory! lol The thing is that i have had time without the starlet and was already seriously looking into other cars, for the sake of just having one. Here in the Netherlands there is a slim chance i will ever drive a V cause of the import-taxes and strict importlaws.. So my need for speed is not gonna be adressed with my current EP and getting a V is not an option for me.. I found a car and got rather fond of it the more i look at it. The performance is rather up to par to. It's the Mazda MX3 V6 1.8. i drove it in the meantime and i must say it handles like a dream and coming from a n/a EP91 it goes better to. What do you guys think about this car as i am aksing around for experience of other people with this car. Hope you understand my views... in the end you don't only wanna look nice but also go fast..

the repaircosts are amounts of cash i don't have. Only if insurance goes 50-50 with me there is a slight chance of repair.. i'm really sick of it..

just fitted rear to, hardly takes any place and only minor modding needed. hmm yummy Cusco !! I can't get enough of it so i order Cusco Camberplates
  13. i am not the most techy person here but i remember when the earthing wire was not connected propperly to my intake mani the car had that kinda "complaints". I'ts just an idea, but its easy to check so i would, if the earthing wire isn't connected propperly to the intake mani, when accelerating hard the engine tilts and the wire could be loosing connection. Anyway that's my tip, hope ihelps!
  14. my Cusco was 120 euro, about 80 pounds, and in mint condition. gonna get the rear fitted this weekend
  15. thanks for the info guys, in the meantime i got me a front a rear strutbar from Cusco !!

ok a lil engine bay update: sorry for the crappy picture, but the weather is hell and i only got my mobile on me to make a pic with: front Cusco strutbar, got a rear one to but waiting for weather to clear up for install.
  17. damn Idrees youre going hurricane speed on this project!! It's a joy to follow
  18. This motorswap seems like a great idea Bourkey! There are lots of people playing with the idea and some people already did the swap. I have been looking for a 5EFE engine myself to for a while, mostly cause a 4efte is MUCH MUCH harder to find, certainly in the Netherlands. I found one at the moment for 600 euro's= 400 Ponds.. it's rather expensive and it''s only the engine. A big plus is that it has only 80.000 kilometers = 50k miles on it, and it had an automatic box on it so it's in mint state wear and tear wise. What do you all need except the engine itself? Sorry for intruding in the conversation but i didnt want to make a whole new thread.
  19. my genuine toyota ones were 17 euro = 13 ponds from my local dealer. i remember cause it has been the only part that is cheaper from toyota then from aftermarket, and thats rare!
  20. nobody knows?
  21. 350 at first... still alot but how long will it take to have all 10.000 ingame ;) prob you can download the models you want. with 10.000 i think there will be at least 8.000 i will never race with or bother at all to download but what a massive list!!!
  22. With my new rolla manifold i have the top nipple, the one going to powersteering, hittin my OEM strutbrace. it happens when suddenly releasing throttle or backing up. Logical cause then the engine tilts in the bay. Now i can get my hands on a Cusco strutbar, do this sit higher? the bar seems to be slimmer and sit higher.
  23. that just totally messed me up man!! i will never look at superheroes normally again.....
  24. i must say i do like it
  25. Exactly what Idrees said, that's how i did it to. let me put it in order: - removed top bracket mounting manifold to engine - removed airbox - removed throttle body(didn't fully remove just undid bolts) - removed fuelrail(same as on throttle body - removed bracket from the underside(also linked manifold to the engine) - removed manifold itself
