  1. apparently it aids performance by keeping the exhaust gases higher allowing a quicker flow for exit, also keeps under engine temps down which is always a bonus
  2. some mot stations arent fussed on the de-cat if you slip them a little extra for the 'tea fund'
  3. if its any sort of aftermarket exhaust, have a look on the backbox! the makers usually print a little tag on there
  4. and take off the interior boot plastic, undo a couple of bolts and the motor pops out aswell
  5. manifold adds hardly anything with regards to noise, im pretty sure its down to the pipe and backbox mate! any ideas on what exhaust you have?
  6. wot sort of noise? turbo spooling noise? exhaust?
  7. get some neons in there . beware of the mollys aswell, they have a tendancy to breed ALOT! my dads tank was over run with them, so he bought some killi fish to keep the numbers down and eat the young, then the molly population died off and the killi's started to breed loads so he then had to buy some little cichlids to eat there young :S hah just a heads up unless you dont mind your tank being overrun in a year or so
  8. as everyone else says mate, blitz ce-cats are the best you can probably buy for a ct9 and will never crack
  9. lol, they is loving the gravel one of them even buries himself under it so i dont think it hurts them tbh he has spent hundreds on these fish over the past couple of years and when setting it up waited a couple of months until the water was perfect before he even added a fish so im pretty sure the gravel is fine! its gotten so bad with him buying fish that he once had a £250 catfish posted to his front door
  10. a couple of my younger brothers tank - two barracuda (did have 3 but one made a run for it) a castfish that loves to be picked up :S (and a cheeky barracuda) a snakehead an armoured catfish (i think) a random catfish my £50 birthday present to him
  11. my dad has one of these in his tank, and no word of a lie the thing must be about 20 years old! lol
  12. a few fish my bro did have - had to get rid of this one as it would eat everything :S he paid £50 for one of these and it died the next day, lol! got a full refund though and this little beauty, but had to get rid of it again as it was the most scatty fish ever! will get some pics up 2moro of the strange things he has now
  13. my mild steel one cracked! so im gna try s/s for a change loads of people run s/s without any problems, its just down to personal preference i guess
  14. neon tetra's are always good and brighten up a tank, but beware you must have a few as they like to be in shoals any tetra is good for first timers really and dont get guppy's as they breed like there's no 2moro :S haha!
  15. any ideas of what tropical fish will be going in?
  16. the unlucky ones in the batch what makes were your s/s mani's if you dont mind me asking? good on the lad, wepr makes quality stuff so shouldnt have many problems
  17. mild steel is overrated lol! plus i would never choose a ported mani over a stianless steel one, its all down to how its been made, what the welds are like and what grade of s/s they use
  18. fitting a turbo timer will always interfere with the imobilliser as its wired up to the same circuit or something :S dont want to worry you either but if thieves see that you have a turbo timer these can be apparently be wired up really easily to start the car :S never experienced by me, but have read it a couple of times somewhere
