Bear in mind the clutch plate and cover might be the same fitment, but there will be differences in the pressure of the cover plate and the thrust bearing. So don't automatically assume they'll just work correctly.
-
Plenty of VAG diesels available cheap on eBay.
-
Wouldn't be too bad if you used a solid axle then you could fabricate mounts that meet the existing mounting points for the rear beam. Mounting the engine longitudally rather than transverse would be tight though.

Might be worth advertising this on the Yaris club uk FB page.

Lol. What a load of bollocks. The only thing the OEM manifold is proven to do is cause more harm than good! Notice how it's usually ring lands on either 2&3 that go? That's more than coincidence.

Akyakapotter's IS200 Sport
Starlet__SR replied to akyakapotter's topic in Other Motors Progress Blogs
Not this car, but the IS200 with the multispokes. -
The OEM manifold is the worst that can be fitted, even ported it's still a terrible design! The worst that can happen with a toyosport is it cracking at the collector, hardly gonna trash a head is it???

Akyakapotter's IS200 Sport

Just needs a different set of wheels not. Is it the navigator with the multi spokes? -
That's the main part of it. Always helps to dress up the cavity inside so it can flow a little better.
-
I used play dough to seal the exhaust wheel and stop any shavings going in, the front I used tape.
-
Driveshaft seal might have failed.
-
Use a coarse bit to remove most of the material, then a sanding wheel to tidy things up.
-
Better than the standard though, the port restrictions on 2&3 are an issue.
-
You'll still get boost creep, it'll help matters but not by much. Are you still running the standard manifold too?
-
Angle is key, the idea is to dump the gases as quick as possible.
-
Easily done. Make sure the placement is optimal for flow though
-
Pattern gaskets are pants. Went through 3 before I bought an OEM one that sealed first time.

Gt turbo with high miles in japan
Starlet__SR replied to Cammy R's topic in eBay, BidJDM, Yahoo Auction Finds
Not in the slightest bit true. Very stringent checks over in japan during the life of a car, history is all traceable too. You've got more chance of it happening over here. -
It's the setup I prefer as coilovers would be a little harsh for me.
-
Ebay Or if it's the SR shocks. They're a little harder to find

Sold, please lock

I'm sure someone on here had a m/s WEPR kit for cheap.

Put the water cooling back on. It's there for a reason.
