http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....c=27218&hl= i followed that roughly. english is hard to understand at some points tho. the only problem i encountered while rebuilding my bottom end was that the caps were a really tight fit. so much so that one side would stick up until i tightened the bolt down but because it was pulling itself into a smaller gap it was squashing the bearing and not allowing the crank to turn.

to be honest alot of time and rresearch has gone into the tongs hybrids. the newest one being the td12 is said to be the best it can get. probably due to the size of the housings. so i would say that the price for them isnt too bad considering u end up with probably the best hybrid that could be made out of a ct9. you get what you pay for and if you want the best ...

maybe worth pming enzo or finding an exact spec of the hybrid and then going to a company so u will know what needs doing

if u could have it done for 350 why have u not done it as for what would be a reconditioned hybrid after it thats a great price and probably the best you would get if u were genuinly going to end up with the same final product.

awright i thought his was a glanza u got into starlets because he bought an auto one that broke easily influenced lol. last time i spoke to him he said it was needin a bottom end. that still the case ? got so much other stuff i havent bothered to make a sale thread for yet haha

i had to do a total bottom end rebuild which included everything. costs are roughly as follows spare fucked bottom end - 30 decent crank - 100 all bearings and thrust washers - bout 100ish i think block honed- 36 oem piston rings - 90 oem headgasket - cant remember oem headbolts - 55 used pistons as mine were knackered - 50 then uv got all your fluids to replace from taking the engine out and oil filters to buy for the running in of the new one . maybe worth changin oil pump at this point aswell or at least the seals for it. if u you do decide to do the 4e rebuild i have a spare block and crank here.

yeh its not a myth there has to be tollerances to allow for slight differences in speedos. u said in the top post that u got up and saw a flash so i assume it was flashing towards u n then u have nothin to worry about apart fromn maybe seeing a red square infront of your face for a few miles
