Are you sure? Blocking sounds a bit harsh. I guess I'll just remove the pipe and let the thing hang free or cable tie it somewhere. Does anyone know what it's for exactly?

Got my HEL brakelines installed this weekend. Also restored my VERY hazy headlights and removed my stuck coilover and left it soaking in fuel oil. Gonna try to loosen it again later this week... A few pics: Also JayJ dropped by to install his new mudflaps...

What is this sensor on intake pipe and is it needed when relocating air filter? If not, what do I do with the vac lines and the connector after relocation?

HKS actuator install and a few questions
whitestar replied to whitestar's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
No I have a Blitz BOV. I've still got my AC on and planning to keep it (even though it's pain in the ass when doing anything in the bay ), so it's quite hard to relocate the filter. Any tips on that one? I tried to take off the excess metal pipe that comes from actuator, but the fixing screw is behind the power steering pump. I guess I'll just have to take the pump off to get rid of the pipe? -
Looks totally ace!

HKS actuator install and a few questions
whitestar replied to whitestar's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Ok thanks! One more question about the nipple that is left open on the efi pipe. Should i bung it? I mean this one: The one on the upper left corner on the pic. -
Well well, got something done today at our garage. Finally got the turbo and mani off. Wasn't as easy as I thought but not too hard either with right tools. Everything looks pretty well actually, clean and working! Only cracks I could find were in the mani collector: and in the wastegate: Othervise turbo looks nice and no shaftplay at all! Also tried my decat on the setup, fits like it should. This is how she stands now just befere leaving the garage tonight (with one new wheel on ;)).

HKS actuator install and a few questions

Is this T piece necessary? I think I read somewhere that it might not be needed if you have bypassed the hi/lo boost solenoid? -
I tried searching here and GTT, but didn't find straight and simple answer. I need to install my HKS actuator, but don't have the instructions. I found this, it's helpful but doesn't actually tell everything. https://home.comcast.net/~ronald_miranda/hksactuator.pdf The stock actuator has two vacuum lines. The other goes straight to turbo, but the other one. What should I do with that? I have removed the hi/lo boost solenoid restriction so can I just remove the other hose and leave it open, or do I have to bung it? All I have is this, not any other parts: I'm planning to turn the boost a

Ffffuuu! Went to see the OZ's today. They weren't ultraleggeras but superleggeras. Would have bought them, but one wheel had a piece missing and you can't buy superleggeras anymore new and I'd need a replacement wheel for that one. Well, I'll try to contact the guy selling those TTE's then. -
Here's a pic where it all started and where it ended.

Maybe I'll get them both? TTE's would cost only 150€ with bad tires. Though the seller hasn't answered my message... Gonna go and check out the leggeras tomorrow. If they're ok I might have to take them because they are CHEAP. -
H_D, how wide, offset and what size tires? Any rubbing or rolling?

Ahhh, nice one Broony! Here's another one, corolla with TTE's Kinda like them, haven't seen them on a starlet before and they are quite rare! The Ultraleggeras have quite similar look to my current ones, that's why it's a hard decision. -

Thanks! Another option would be original TTE rims in size 16x7.5". Dunno will they rub, though. These could look mean in 040 white! -
