Hmmmm. My tubby is fucked and im thinking of going hybrid, was just going to buy a Enzo GT spec version. Is there a link to the one on TGTT? Jason
-
No not yet, mainly because they sent it to CANADA It had to go back to them and they are resending it out, to the correct address. Not too fussed to be completely honest, as long as it does get here.... Did you guys pay import duty???

*** Update *** Well got up to TGT on wednesday and started work. Work was slow with my condition but i have plodded along with it at a steady rate. People expecting a big update will be dissapointed as im working at such a slow pace as not to put any pressure on my chest. This is how the engine started off in the morning....... Wednesday i managed to get the inlet manifold and fuel rail off the block and started clening up the block as much as i could. I have several diffreent engine degreasers etc so just went to work with them. I managed to get the engine mount off the block and got the old bush cut out of it. Took me a while as didn't want to feck up my chest so was sawing gently, for quite a while. Also got some ngk leads on, and a HKS actuator for 5 minutes. Got the old actuator off the turbo and there is a huge crack in the turbo and there is also some shaft play so its going in the bin. watch this space for new sexyness Wednesday i left the engine looking like this........ Got home wednesday and a few more sexy bits had arrived, Stainless exhaust clamps. Almost have everything i need to make the exhaust system when the engine goes back in the demon now. One of the first jobs when its back together and also the sexy Race Tech oil line for the turbo, shame the turbo is fecked Then today i got back up there and continued with the cleaning....... Driving me mad but i got there in the end. Managed to get the crap turbo off and also the standard manifold as someone is donating a stainless one to me for £30. whoop whoop! Started painting the engine silver but not sure. I think it will look ok with a bright green rocker cover and other green bits. and also changed the one of the gearbox mounts for poly........ Im cleaning everything as i go and painting what i can but progress is slow at the moment. I won't be back up working on the demon till Monday now as i want the weekend to relax, which is what i should be doing. I also have a cambelt kit on order and a few other secret sexy parts. Comments welcome as always. Jason

Well its got a Glanza boot so might as well go full out now and stick a 4EFTE in it Looks good though, they always look retty slick in white ;)

Its not a typo. My mate has a R33 and he was made aware of these seats on one of the skyline owners clubs about a year ago. He had a price list somewhere of parts for the R35 and they where just comical. If i can get him to find it i will get it posted up. Wait till you see the exhaust/interior parts/bodykit prices ;)
-
Thanks Mate No point being normal is there
-
LOL, get them in 20'
-
Surely if i do that it will make you cry though as you won't have enough Green to be part of 'Team Green'
-
Love these seats, they are well comfy! We have the same on our flight simulator at work
-
Not much more to add really, so i won't add anything

WOW! Only 10 things that will cost more, result That car tax is a fecking joke, they keep putting the tax up on cars that polute more! Luckily mines a 2000 model and i have been told they can't backdate it. My car should be about £400-500 for tax but im paying £230. Makes me want to just rag it everywhere to get my moneys worth and burn as much fuel as possible!

As long as i don't add too many colours Although i have red front calipers, yellow poly bush's, purple cam pulley, white seats, green harnesses, fuel tanks going blue, blue/red earls fittings. Im fucked already really Block WILL go Green tomorrow, then we will see about the rest of it later.
-
hmmmm, i might have to fuck off only joking! That don't sound too bad. Im still contemplating what to make the sdies from? Either i clad the sides with carbon fibre sheet. Or i could use some transparent green acrylic i have been looking at (so you can see through the buggy). Spose not much of the block will be seen with all the crap mounted around it anyway. I will start with a green block and see what it looks like...............
-
Red block If i add any more colours it will start looking like Ronald Mcdonald has shat on it!
-
Best decision mate When you have it all done and looking sexy as fuck you will stand back and look at it and just think 'Im glad i didn't break this in the end, my god thats sexy, i want to touch myself now'............. or something along those lines
-
Thanks Mate. Don't worry that box will be going to very good use Box will hopefully be in very soon, then i can get the driveshafts made up Im trying to get it up and running hopefully by June/July but probably won't see it road legal till towards the end of the year as i want to strip it all down and get frame shotblasted and sprayed properly. plus i need to fabricate a nosecone
-
I think i need to get me one of these! I can practice driving the Demon then
-
You not breaking it now then?

Right, time to choose some colours Went up to TGT yesterday to check on the Demon and have a little talk with James. I asked them if they could remove the engine asap and get the gearbox and flywheel off and the engine mounted to a stand so i can begin cleaning/polishing/painting the main block. I left TGT about 1pm and at about 6pm i had an email to say they had found an hour or so and had done just what i had asked. Well happy with that, the guys at TGT continue to surprise me and i think they are also keen to get it done. whoop whoop! Anyway, as of tomorrow i can start driving again. Although i don't have my lexus back yet as the rear bush's are a pain in the arse (long storey) i have the use of my girlfriends little yaris. So tomorrow im going to TGT to begin painting the block and getting the engine looking all nice and clean. But what colour should i do the engine??? The main colours im using on the project are bright green, white, black and there are a few purple bits thrown in for good measure. If i spray the frame bright green then i feel that doing the engine green as well will just be too much. So what colour??? I have recently been thinking and im toying with the idea of spraying the frame white, this will tie in with seats. Then have bright green nosecone, arch's, harnesses, engine, sides etc I think this will look pretty good but im open to idea's people! So my question is, what should i paint what colour, or do people like the idea of a white frame with green bodywork? I want to keep the main chassis/frame a solid colour so if it does get scratched then i can easily touch it up (that sounds wrong!!!!). You have only today to vioce your opinion as tomorrow the engine will start getting cleaned and painted....... Thanks All, Jason

Are the Glanza's Street legal then? I thought anything that wasn't sold as standard in the states was not really street legal? Like i said dude it might be worth trying some US forums as not many people on here will know about importing to the states. Im sure there are loads of US/JDM import sites??? Jason

Well as you know Jo i would love to get mine featured but think i need to finish it first. Am trying my hardest to get it done and then i need to see if they will feature it. Come on people, get your names down for this, will do the club good getting some publicity, plus you get to show off all your hard work.
-
That makes sense to me but will depend what they are after? Do the feature cars have to turn up to the MM rolling road day? Jason

I don't know about shipping costs but i do know that shipping to the states can be tricky! I was at SEMA a few years back and got talking to a few guys and one mentioned about importing a skyline. From what he was saying it was a complete pain in the arse! He said that the DMV department was long winded and there was alot of forms to fill out and he spent several days there sorting it out. He was also saying that any car imported to the states isn't allowed to have the engine in it???? i don't know how true this is/was? He was saying that any car imported can't have the engine in it. However its perfectly fine to import a car with no engine and have another crate next to the car with the engine in going to the same address Like i have said i don't know how true this is? Might be worth getting on a few US car sites and seeing if there are people about that have imported something similar? Jason
