  1. I've washed, cleaned, polished and waxed the old mans Evo 4, driven it around and realised how much fuel it uses when you give it some, thought twice about borrowing it on a regular basis...then I cleaned, stripped and wire brushed the rocker cover I got from "DarkJackal" followed by some UHT matt black paint (simone 650 degree stuff) which I used on mine and it still looks perfect after all the shit weather we've had untill recently! I will be selling this soon once the new rocker cover gasket arrives!
  2. Had a creeking noise coming from where you describe on mine, turned out to be the drivers door hinge...open the door and try lift it straight up from the furthest point and feel if it's lifting at all. It's amazing the amount of flex and strain you put on a body even travelling slowly and putting the car into full look situations when stationary. Something to check anyway
  3. Finally got a response..."No stock at the moment, we will have them again in 4 weeks time.Thanks." Gutted, I really wanted 350hp through a stock manifold aswell...
  4. Glanza's seem to attract vandlism like a magnet, i've had a windscreen, back window, passenger window, 2 tires slashed, right rear quarter kicked in and left side keyed in the nearly 3 years of owning this car! Cost me a fortune too and some of it I can't afford to fix! Funnily enough these all happened in my street bar 1 and im never in my house, nor do I drive like an arsehole unlike the neighbours stupid young friends! I feel your pain mate, it's gutting
  5. I wee'd a little bit with laughter...
  6. Thanks for the reply mate, I also forgot to mention I too have a catch can fitted and drilled out the pcv valve to allow it to breath constantly. Can't say ive really noticed a difference in exhaust smell, if there is one it must be very minute because im always poking around with the car getting lungs full of the stuff! I recently ran a compression test and got 150-145-145-150 which seems slightly down on the usual 160 but with only 5psi difference I was pretty happy, considering it's near 100k now, just goes to show what these are capable of if you do regular oil changes and let it warm up a
  7. Yeah been playing it quite a bit, seems pretty good and is definately an improvement over the orignal SHIFT...although I found I got bored quite soon, found the drifting the best bit so far but the DLC that's coming out will include a few more cars (which this doesnt have that many, but it does have some interesting ones) and will also include drag racing of some variety, so that should bump the game up in terms of playability. Saying that I keep going back to play the damn thing so it does have a hold over me...argh!
  8. Hey guys, noticed yesterday that under boost (0.8 on standard ct9b) im getting a slight haze of smoke out the back higher up the revs. It has been looking a little white on idle too out the exhaust, not a lot but enough to see it, was hoping this was just condensation due to the weather or my de-cat letting smoke be more visible. The turbo is high mileage now (100K close) and ive been running it with an HKS actuator on 0.8 for some time now (got a Zisco manifold so hopefully not piston 3) Im sure I caught it just starting to look slightly blue/gray but it's hard to tell when your trying not t
  9. Ive sent a question to the seller "Hi mate, ive got a starlet turbo and will be needing a turbo soon...is this turbo really capable of 300-350hp? Does it bolt straight on as a direct fit and would you be willing to negotiate a better price, something lower than £2,890.99?" Should be an interesting reply! Wonder how much a replacement T88 for my mates skyline would be
  10. This will be why I never got a shot of the ex stepdads Ultima GTR
  11. Not my cup of tea, would have gone for royal blue or something a bit different without being in your face yo!
  12. My mate Pete had a white one featured in fast car a couple years ago, single turbo monster, around 700hp, the editor said in the article that there's not many cars than can scare him these days...but that rex was one of the very few
  13. I want one for my mates/girlfirends 1.0 polo!
  14. I got robbed from "AB88.com" also, same shit manifold and blew in a week, still owe me ten quid too but no effing reply...I'd recommend to stay away from that site
  15. I should really check this s**t more often lol
  16. Got a zisco mild steel compact on mine after my standard one gave up the ghost, 2 almighty cracks, can't fault the zisco one at all!
  17. Tell me one half was red and the other was yellow! That would be priceless!
  18. As with above, should pass without a cat, mine passes everytime no questions asked with a decat fitted...one time it failed for having no side repeaters though! Had to get a mate who once trained MOT testers to go in and have a word...good times!
  19. Shit, when was this lol I live 2 minutes up the road...jobby
  20. Those wheels are epic Idrees, how much did they set you back?
  21. Here's a nice little page I found with some info on heat wrapping your exhaust manifold, no doubt will start a debate but interesting none the less. Guy Croft - Heat Wrapping Manifolds
  22. Sounds daft but check the door hinges mate, had a similar noise and thought it was CV joint until my mate tried opening the doors and lifting them...felt a bit stupid after it. Replaced the hinge on the offending door and that was that.
  23. I have to agree from personal experience on my own car, a manual boost controller or bleed valve didn't agree with my glanza at all...the car bogged down in low revs, took longer to come on boost, it was never happy at a certain boost pressure as it was up and down constantly! In the end I took it off and got an hks actuator to replace it and my weak standard one, much better job but still not perfect, an electronic boost gauge is definatley the way to go.
