hi i had a similiar experience with an order in .au it took 12 months to complete . but we forumed this guy explaining his poor serrvice . but through all this he remained contactable / vague / excuses/ blamed someone other than himself for his poor service . i won`t can him just won`t buy from him again this chap sounds like something similiar his friends / mates on the forum need to speak personally& explain to him the error of his ways & not to treat the people he has dealings with on the forums in less than a resonable manner he will get a bad name & all of a sudden he won`t be able to show his head on the forum or ask for help a good rep is worth more than a quick rip-off lyle

Is it worth remapping an N/A?
the quiet achiever replied to The Toffinator's topic in Lifestyle General
hi if nothing else the BLING value must be worth something . but surely if it can be done easily then a coil per plug must have some gains on a single STD one in-built & not modifiable lyle -

hi i chosen to stay with N/A power & done mods in stages so a brief overview to date 1st stage : 2in sports exhaust inc extractors ( no noise) / eng management std 48kw gain =6kw now 54kw 2nd stage : rolla mani&T/B gain =5kw now 59kw next mod i am ready to try ITB`s (recently purchased in UK)/ valve springs /camshafts/h/gasket gain =?????kw now ??kw or option stay with rolla mani &T/B /valve springs / camshafts/ h/gasket / manifold T/B insulators gain =??kw now ??kw as you can see the gains aren`t massive but all figures are ATW`s & every little bit helps so i hazard a guess that 100HP is possible with a few bolt -on mods to all the N/A lads stick with it no turbo is not the end of the world lyle -
hi yes more so as the body is main earth . earthing to the body is normally kept to a minium in a std set-up lyle
-
hi i would `ve taken the earth to the engine with the positive lead . main earth to the body is then only earthiing the motor via body spot welds &metal to metal contact . these deteriorate as the vehicle ages ,can cause greif later on with dodgy earths lyle

hi check these sites for ideas there are more , maybe you can find something digital that will fit into that parcel pocket or whatever it is behind your paint drawing http://www.scangauge.com.au/ http://www.dakotadigital.com/ or something custom to mount in the same spot you can get 50mm guages for almost all functions in digital or analogue let your creative juices flow lyle

hi what mods do you have that you felt you needed to dyno it lyle

★ Amjad's Sutāretto ッ ★ HKS exhaust fitted! :D

[quote name='Amjad' date='Aug 21 2010, 11:17 AM' post='427485 It's all good Lyle! I dunno what your ATF figure would be like, is there any way of finding out what the rough transmission loss is like on N/As? Looking at the figure you achieved, it looks a new Exhaust mani/decat setup would clearly be far more effective once mapped on aftermarket management. The thing I found is that when I got my exhaust done, the K&N was obviously way too restrictive as I now have a bigger outlet for exhaust gases, the Apex'i intake helped with response & especially top end a LOT more. That's why I'm kinda confused as to how you've managed to get such a decent figure, especially as new headers & decat would improve your outlet flow even further! I know you have a bigger TB but still the Airbox wouldn't be as free flowing as a cone, which I reckon would suit your setup even more than mine? I did try fitting a 1.6 4afe TB, but had problems with the TPS so didn't bother! ;) I do appreciate 4efe tuning, but I think boost is definitely the way forward with this project! A fast response Turbo using a Plug & Play ECU kicking between 200-220bhp is what I'd like to eventually achieve! -

hi it seems i have touched a nerve with some of you 1st the fiile has been converted so i could post in reply in australia the dyno measures HP as KW @the wheel , i just photoshoped file to show you the eq figure to compare not to annoy a dyno in australia can only estinate flywheel HP approx 30% only an engine dyno can give a more accurate figure in australia this graph was only to adjust settings after fitting manifold &T/B i did my mods in stages ea adj giving a better figure than the last sorry again for upsetting any body lyle -

hi can someone photoshop my wheels in some different colours to see what might suit the best for the car colour please images below use either or both photos thanks lyle
-
hi that is right . i didn`t want any extra load on the wheels studs that is why i searched for a spacerless alternative . just so happens the disc i found required a spigot ring instead lyle
-
hi just remember every mm you space it takes whee&disc futher away from the hub &then they are sitting onthe wheel studs only not what iwould say is a safe way to have a wheel mounted on a car but see how you go . lyle
