Changes to the Classifieds Section
Nanglebadger replied to Nanglebadger's topic in News & General Announcements
thanks for the support all, glad to see it has gone down quite well. we really didn't want to have to introduce this but the number of threads mods were having to deal with was just getting stupid. there are usually a few of the staff not too far away, the worst anyone would have to wait is maybe a saturday afternoon to a sunday afternoon, but can't see that happening too often. if it does start to become a problem i will look for a few helping hands. cheers all! Afternoon All, I'm afraid that the admin team have unanimously decided to introduce a change to the way 'for sale' threads are posted on the forum. As you all know, we have the rules for selling clearly stated at the top of the classifieds section, and a template that self populates when starting a new thread in the Parts for Sale section. The reason these are in place is to protect all members as best we can from bad transactions and the loss of money. Unfortunately, a minority of folk either completely disregard the rules, or decide to only follow parts of the rules and ignore the bits the

nice one dude! Phil. -
we are about to become a lot more stringent with the classified section in general dude. too often the rules are ignored or templates are deleted and it is creating a huge workload for the moderators. we made those rules for a reason, to protect members and their money but it seems a minority folk don't wish to follow them, meaning the majority will be forced to suffer more stringent rules in the classified section. the admin team have discussed several different options and we have settled on one that we are now developing, hopefully wont take very long. this is a great suggestion and is def

really dont agree with you at all here dan mate. nearly 10 years driving starlets and being in starlets, including Alan E's and Jay's beast, and never once having booted it with me in the car, have i seen any traction issues. can i ask, what are you basing this on?? a Glanza S? on the road? or a turbo on track? I have been round Kirkistown race track here in NI in Jay's 5E beast and i can assure you we never once had traction issues, hell we went out and round audis and numerous other cars that day. i have been in Alan E's drag spec car when the NOS came on at 120 mph on a tank of race fuel

^^^^^^exactly what i was thinking. Phil.

no shortage of drag spec EPs in NI, and no shortage of non-drag-spec EPs going up the straight too (i.e Jay). anyone with any reasonable control of their right ankle shouldn't have too much trouble with traction tbh, as long as they're rocking tires that aren't shagged and it aint pissing out of the heavens. treat the accelerator like an on/off swtich and you'll have traction issues in any car, i can get my 159 to spin the wheels with traction control turned on simply by booting the accelerator. a sound ability to drive = traction. not jumping on anyone's side here as it's all very LOL and

welcome to UKSC. Phil.

i'm going to let this go ahead for now simply because they are not something our traders offer. i doubt that they will sell on here if i'm honest, but i'm sure u probably have them advertised elsewhere aswell so hopefully you can shift them on. Cheers, Phil.
-
"we"?? as in, a business? i'm trying to establish if this constitutes trading or not, and if it does, then i can't allow you to sell these on here, hence my questions. a little info is all im after here. Phil.
