  1. Put your seats in the boot (Facing out the back window of course) May need pedals moving and a gearbox with a long reverse gear
  2. Letting it run revving it every now and then lightly pumping hoses. Cap off of course. No fan fitted at the moment oem one wasn't working due to a fault which I need to trace.
  3. 3/4 temp needle sits at The bottom half of rad and the hose is ice cold top half of rad and hose is hot. When removing the stat one side of water ice cold other side hot Heaters hot I've bled the system how I'd usually set about doing it. The radiators brand new civic alloy rad Tried both the new and oem rad caps

  8. Losing nothing... It works fine with the stat cut out (acting as a seal) and had no problems before now just changed the stat while I was changing over to a civic rad. I would imagine the pump would leak and id get no flow with the open stat and overheating constantly. So I think it's not the pump
  9. So I changed a thermostat on the weekend as it was fubbard... I tried a used one I had laying about just to get me some heat (5am starts are cold) The cars heat went above halfway bottom hose and bottom of rad ICE cold. Top boiling... Cut the centre out of an old one and hoses and rad heated up instantly car runs cool of course but fine. New stat came today from local motor factors it looks different but fits the hole (pics in a thread in lifestyle general section) once it was in it done the same as the previous one I tried.   10. Got a new stat today but it won't work on the car but will when on the gas hob... After hours of head scratching I took a moment to compare the two stats....
