What is under these rubber grommets ?

Not entirely sure but that's just a hole so could possibly be water underneath as that's the underside of the car, but I could be completely wrong -

Indeed mate, lovely example of a pre 2000 car! I'm just happy it hasn't had the front bumper 1/2 cut out lol, and it's barely been fettled with engine wise, which is something that's rare to find in a starlet these days! Thanks pal! They've really grown on me! Love em! Some real clean JDMness right thurrrr! I can't thank you enough pal, thanks for taking such good care of it and not ruining it, theres too many around that have been pissed about with and messed up. I was wrong with the air con removal causing the rad fan not to engage, that's something on GT's but it only makes the -
Drive it onto some wood, et voila! But as Daniel says avoid sills where possible, it does ruin them.

The shifter itself is standard it's just been spaced out I think and makes selecting 2nd and 4th a nightmare, feels stiff I originally thought it was gearbox but having felt it a bit more I'm under the impression it's the spacers. But the shifters buggered I will bear that in mind! -

Have a few bits to sort first, nothing major just removing some bits probably will end up with 98 spec front end ideally uncut, with splitter and fogs, and probably reflet red rear lights. To do: - Service - thermostat - investigate rad fan as doesn't come on - sort exhaust manifold blow - adjust clutch - remove DIY short shifter Once the above is done I'll be doing some tidying etc, then maybe some recaros from an Evo and ideally a greddy eo1 instead of the jizmo, not sure on the overall future of the engine, at the moment I'm not massively bothered with power I just want to keep it mint -

Drop a squirt of oil into each cylinder, it temporarily seals it then compression test it -
Will check this out thanks! Yeah the owner didn't really know some of the faults I picked out, so I'm going to iron them out, I can be picky!

That's real low, did you try a wet test -
Yeah I fucking hate these silly home made shifters, I paid less of course as potentially it needs a new box and clutch, but maybe not! And thanks, I'll get some up, I only have old pics from owner that do it no real justice, he was a forum user though and the aesthetics are mint!!! It's been well cared for just a few bits it wants for!!! And cheers!!

I've just acquired myself another glanza, I had to barter a little as there seemed to be a gearbox issue, 1,3,5 engage perfectly and 2 and 4 are a struggle to get in, I'm thinking it could be caused by the DIY short shifter the owners basically spaced the shifter unit so it sits a lot higher, also the clutch biting points low this probably doesn't help matters. Basically is it worth me returning the shifter back to it's 'home' position? Never adjusted the clutch on these what's the correct procedure? cheers

I have used search, but recently any of my searches return nothing, I may not be doing it right I don't know. Anyhow, my glanza's rad fan's not kicking in at all, I can link it to battery and then it will work and cool the engine as per norm. Where's the best place to start looking? I recall a bypass when removing air con as it was removed by previous owner, but I've read that leaves the fan running constantly and only on GT's? Cheers!
